I agree completely. I have yet to see a "Family Boat" be a "Great Fishing Boat". The boats sit on the flats all day. I talk to our local Marine Patrol who said they would rather have the boats sit on the flat instead of anchor on the reefs which is also Illegal. The outer reefs in 30 to 60 feet...

The tourists have destroyed many flats in the Florida Keys on Holiday weekends even as it is illegal to ground or anchor a boat inside the NO Motor zones.

I fished my friends 25 WA , MV in the Florida Keys and liked it very much. When I saw a 9 year old 23DVCC I bought the next day and have had it now 11 years. A very solid boat with a better layout than what is on the market these days.

Is that why Parker would not sell a 25 ft with a single 350 V8 Yamaha? They told me it performed poorly.

Searched for years for a used 23DVCC before I found one. I repowered it initially with a 250 Yamaha now it has a 300, rarely need the extra speed. I get many compliments on the the Parker and several people want to buy it. Better than my Classic Seacraft, and my Pursuit.

I have a 23DVCC my friend had a 25 foot 17 degree dead rise walkaround. I liked his boat, especially for the aft room, but my Parker handled the chop much better.

My 2010 F250 Yamaha with about 1200 hours in 2014 had the top crankshaft bearing fail. It hollowed out the cylinders requiring a new power head and associated parts. It was under factory warranty, still cost me about $1200 and 3 months to repair. Yamaha says it does not happen very often But...

The marina doing the work moved the Console forward allowing easy tank removal and replacement, they found only good wood no soft water damaged wood. I do not remember a drain discussion.

I acknowledged there is a risk. Upon boarding the boat I check the console and bilge for odors prior to turning on the batteries. I soley fuel the boat and check the Racor. Having had a compromised fuel tank in the Parker I am keenly aware of the dangers of gasoline fumes and liquid in the bilge.
