The corrosion is not visible. The repair shop in Key Largo said it is common.

I replaced all 3 of my bow and Stern rings after the port ring snapped due to corrosion when pulling on it at a 45 degree angle, it was 14 years old.

Replaced my tank in my 2001 23DVCC IN 2016 The tank had many corrosion holes, I had it done Professionally, cost 7K, they moved the Console forward for easier access. The original tanks are not very heavy Guage and not coated.
