    Livewell as fishbox

Except when using live bunker in the spring for bass, I don't very often use live bait for alot of the fishing that I do. For flounder pounding, I just use the standard killie bucket over the side. Easier to get the bait out.

    Livewell as fishbox

Just wanted to share this with the CP community. Not sure if any of you do this, but on my CC, I frequently use my above deck livewell as a fishbox. A 1 1/4 inch to 1 1/2 inch rubber drain stopper works pretty well to plug up the drain hole. I load it with ice and seawater (using the livewell...

    Parker Buyer's Survey

I didn't shop any other boats against my Parker. I am fortunate to work on and fish on many boats, so I recognized the quality and value in the Parkers. When finally I was in a position to buy, I went straight to the Parker Dealer and bought my first one (21SE) for my Finance and I in lieu of...

    CC Stereo and Speaker Placement?

What I did on my 21SE was that I mounted the stereo inside the console, hanging from the top. I had one of the small controls mounted on my dash. That was great for changing the volume, channels, cds, etc. On thing, you want the radio (or volume controls) easy to get to. Poly Planar makes a...

To Boga or not to Boga

I have never really used a Boga Grip, but was wondering what you all really thought about them on say, weakfish, bass and blues that you primarily intend to release. I see everyone using them, but it just seems to me that using the boga grips has got to hurt the fish more than carefully...

    Waxing---what to use?

While on the waxing topic, has anyone used the woody way on their no-skid? I know they say it does not make it slippery, but I was a little skeptical about their claim. Any opinions?

    21 se

I ran my 21SE for 6 years with the carbed 150. IMO, thats plenty of horsepower, even with my t-top and a full crew. I went thru plenty of seas and came back in thru many rough inlet runs in that boat and never once felt worried about safety or lack of power to punch over the waves. With...

    Cleaning and polishing aluminum

I like to use the "Nev R Dull" wadding. Comes in a blue can and is actually full of a wadding material soaked in liquid. You can just rip out a piece and go to work. Watch out, though, as the can does rust and will leave a rust ring if you leave it somewhere. I have also had good luck with...

23 CC - Newbie needs advice on Purchase?

One thought, and I'm not sure if you took notice of this on the sea trial, but do you recall how much fuel was in the boat at the time? If the tank was near empty or low, that could exaggerate your experience. Based on where the fuel tank is located, I have found that my 23 has a noticeable...

    Electonics Help!

I also have the C-80, with the transom transducer and the DSM-300 digital fish finder. I have the 4 kw radome also. I am very happy with the system, and the digital fishfinder presents a great picture.

    2320 sl shopping

Hap- If you boat will be kept at a marina, you might want to look into the size slip that the full transom boat with bracket will require. Might need a bigger slip depending on your marina, which might result in higher docking fees. Just something to consider. Personally, I like having my...

    23SE with 150hp engine

For what its worth, I've seen some new 2007 23 SE's being delivered around here with the 150 4 stroke, so it seems like more than just a one-off leaving the factory. I had the 21SE with the carbed 150, and now have the 23SE with F-200. On a heavy sea, or on a rough inlet approach, I don't...

Need opinions on the 23 SE sea keeping capabilities

captlar - Good point on the drifting. I can somewhat "steer" my boat with the outboard down (not running) also. However, I have found that if I throw out a sea anchor, it slows the boat down real nice, and gives be a nice angle of drift versus the waves. (even with the t-top catching the...

    Tackle Storage

boyztoyz- When i had my 21SE, I made a pine box with a lid and rope handles that I dropped down below the seat in front of the console. The box was approximately just slightly smaller than the cutout of the seat opening. I put a divider in the box, and one side held like 7 plano boxes, and I...

Need opinions on the 23 SE sea keeping capabilities

Captlar- I have the 23se, and routinely fish out 25-40 miles from home. I do tend to pick my days carefully. While the boat is absolutely capable in the 3-4 chop you mention, and I have gone thru it many times (and worse) and felt safe and in control, I would not want to do it on a regular...

New 23' SE in South Florida

QUESTION - Engine doesn't tilt out of water

Thanks Kevin. Thats just what mine looks like as well. I usually clean the water line off once a month. Does't really bother me, just wanted to get some opinions if it was doing any harm.
