    ACR Aquafix PLB w/ GPS

I am selling an ACR Aquafix PLB with on-board GPS receiver. It has 5W of output power and transmits on 406Mhz. It also sends out a SAR distress beacon on 121.5Mhz. The expiration date on the battery has gone by - but the unit still passes its self-test and is fully operational. A new battery...

    New Parker Owner NH/MA

I have a couple of friends at Cove with Parkers, one is an 1801 and one is a 21SE. I noticed a few marinas put in their docks this week.. all I can think of is the Mother's Day flood of 2006, so am in no rush to splash just yet, especially before the stripers show up :) -- Tom

how much torque when installing lower gearcase on yamaha out

Not to beat this horse any more, but keep in mind Loctite is a manufacturer, and not just a single product. Loctite 572 is the recommended sealant for the lower unit bolts in the Yamaha shop manual. If you do some Googling you'll find that 572 is a medium strength thread sealant designed for...

Mystery filters in Yamaha HPDI Motors

Just for reference, this is what the filters look like on the 0x66 style motors.. I imagine they are fairly similar on the HPDI and can be cleaned out pretty easily if you DIY. -- Tom

How do you transport your fishing rods?

I use these in the back of my Pathfinder: http://www.rodmounts.com/rodloft-pro.html They come with the hardware to mount them a bunch of different ways. I have removed the strap from the aft supports and mount them so the openings are on the top and the rods are just held in place by gravity...

Oxygen Sensor question for the OX66 folks

Two things.. 1) 0.05 is not five millivolts.. it is 50 millivolts. .005 is 5 millivolts. 2) The correct voltage spec is 0 - 1V. The voltage swing you are looking for is typically in the .3 - .8V range.. That is volts, not millivolts, and if you are setting your MM to 20V DC it should...

Yes me again...Therm alarm this time

Ed, Winky-Blinky is easy. It has three connectors, two of them can plug together - these are the ones you need. Ignore the third connector which only has 2 wires going to it. It connects in series to a similar set of male/female connectors that are in the area of the VST tank and LP fuel...

    VST filter question

FYI, been running 2 micron Racors on my 1999 200HP Yamaha 0x66 since they became available with no problems. Running total of about 500 hours, with filters replaced each spring and halfway through the season. VST filters are noticeably cleaner and no longer need to be cleaned during the...

Streering seems locked or just does not work

What kind of steering do you have? Chances are you don't have hydraulic, and the steering tube got gunked up and needs to be cleaned out. I believe there have been a few posts here on the subject, do a search. -- Tom

    1801 Rod Racks

Find some like these and re-use the mounting holes of your existing holders. You can find them in 2, 3 and 4 rod sizes. The mounting tab can be placed anywhere you need it. -- Tom
