Mine is a 2023 engine with conventional steering ram. The filter puzzled me because right above the open port in a hose holder which would actually hold the hose venting it if it were there.

This filter is on the Starboard side about 6" above the seam between the engine bonnet and the cowl.

Sorry but I'm not going through all that. Drilled, tapped, and bolted is equal in strength to welding in this application.

There are aluminum supports up there independent of the actual T-top frame. They are clearly way to wide to accomplish mounting the dome.

True but even trickle chargers will make batteries off-gas. Most maintenance free batteries trap it back into condensate and then it drips back. I love the fact that liFePo baterries don't have any liquid but I am leary of the China factor.

Any liquid filled battery will off gas. The vapor is sulfuric acid. Have you ever seen the underside of a car hood which was directly above a battery all rusty? Or an old Volkswagen with the battery under the back seat rotted right through the floor?
