Finally got my new 2510 XLD.....

I absolutely love the 2510. Such a fantastic layout. I bought a 2017 2320, but live in San Diego. My parents are from NCand recently retired to Wilmington, NC and I’m headed there next week to stay at a beach house we rent every year. Beautiful part of the country. You are going to love that...

Rub Rail leak - water in bilge

Just wanted to give an update. We unscrewed the forward section of rub rail and filled all screw holes with sealant. This has fixed the issue of wet carpet in forward birth. Regarding my water in bilge comment....we’ll it has been bone dry the last few trips. The little bit of water that gets in...

    How to clear speedometer pickup?

I thought if you have speed set to GPS source then it doesn’t matter if the hole gets plugged. It will still calculate fuel economy. I thought that was one of the reasons for setting GPS for speed data. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rub Rail leak - water in bilge

Thanks For the feedback Brent. The newer 2320’s only have an aft bilge and bilge pump. I spoke with the dealer and they said they will pull the rub rail and reseal when I bring it in for the hundred hour service, so that’s cool ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rub Rail leak - water in bilge

I have six month old 2320 and noticed wet carpet in the port side of forward cabin. Looks to be coming from the rub rail seam. Coincidentally I’ve been noticing more water in the bilge than normal and noticed the foam was wet on the aft corner port side of fuel tank. I need to rule out my 65...

Yamaha 6YC - wacky MPH / MPG readings

Garmin wants me to run GPS off the 7610’s for a while and see if issue continues so we can rule out the external GPS 19x. Sounds like a plan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yamaha 6YC - wacky MPH / MPG readings

Thanks Brent. I’ll review the manual, but it’s a strange glitch. I get speed through GPS rather than engine. Garmin sends gps Info via nema 0183 to the Yamaha unit and he recommended turning off all of the output sentences that don’t send speed and try just leaving on GPRMC or GPRM on. I called...

Yamaha 6YC - wacky MPH / MPG readings

My Yamaha control display has decided to randomly start telling me I’m going 180 mph etc... It works fine and then randomly the mph/mpg starts bouncing all over the place. I get GPS via Garmin 7610 XSV and works great until it doesn’t. Anyone ever have an issue like this before ? Sent from my...

    New F300 - Making Oil

No updates...just hoping the issue goes away with time. Just follow the manual for the first 2 hrs and then be sure to run it WOT during - hrs 3-10. The manual says not to run WOT for more than 5 minutes during this period, but apparently they want you to run WOT.... just not more the 5 minutes...

Where did you mount your Autopilot Compass ? Garmin Reactor

Just curious what location has worked well for those with pilot house. My Garmin CCU is up in the bow about 2 ft from anchor locker. Has worked great for 6 months until last week. Boat icon is skewed now.Heading is off. Need to re-calibrate, but starting to wonder if it should have been...

    Permatrim Question

Thanks guys. Appreciate the feedback. No issues getting on plane w/ the f300. Plenty of power. Had just considered to help stay on plane at lower speeds for rough water. Sounds like the guys in the NW pretty much add them right away and really like the results. I think I’ll probably use the boat...

    Permatrim Question

I’m hearing such great feedback I think I might install one on a new 2320 w/ f300. Have any owners with these had any issues with corrosion where you drill the holes ? That has been my only concern. I’ll be installing it on a F300. Also, has anyone had the added benefit of additional rpms ...

    New F300 - Making Oil

    New F300 - Making Oil

Brent - I think you were referring to my original post. Yes compression / leak down test came back fine. Engine runs great. I have spoken with Yamaha in GA directly and they are aware of the situation. They just said give it another 100 hrs and do not do anymore oil changes for 100 hrs. I think...

    New F300 - Making Oil

I wish it was just thermostats. We replaced them anyways. If you see a Parker going 45 mph up and down the San Diego coast line, that’s just me trying to stop making oil [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New F300 - Making Oil

I wanted to go ahead and post a fuel dilution issue I have been having on a new parker 2320 with an F/300 that has 67 hrs. I've flagged it with my dealer and spoken with Yamaha directly, but thought this could be a useful thread for future owners and to also hear from others that may have had...

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

Thanks Jim. Yes, dealer wants to scope it for me at 100 hr service. Thanks for the insight. Makes perfect since and explains why topping off is always the most problematic. I’m having issues filling even when empty. I’ve decided to just quit trying to figure it out and let dealer handle it. I...

Can't fill fuel tank on 2015 2520 XLD

Just a thought. When we snaked a 6ft hose down the fill tube it came out soaked with fuel, but I’m pretty sure tank is only 80% full. I added about 10 gallons about an hour before snaking the hose down when I was testing the vent. Is it strange that the snake hose would come out wet ? We didn’t...
