    What makes fuel tanks fail?

Yes. I will disagree. Most often it happens from the outside. I'm a marine surveyor and have seen a number of tanks that corroded from the inside out. Caused by "water" standing in the corners. Only a little pinhole on the outside. Then you cut the tank open and extensive corrosion inside.

Where to buy 1801 covers and cushions

Someone will almost certainly know where Parker is currently having cushions made. Worst case, any local cavas shop can make those for you.

    Trolling motor for 1801?

I've had a MinnKota Ulterra 80# 60" 24 V on my boat for 5 plus years. Love it. I wouldn't be without the self stowing feature. I've never had a problem with mine. And spot lock is well worth the money.

Boat For Sale 2012 - 1801 For Sale

Well, you asked. Sounds like a lot of money for an 11 year old boat. Basically no options. Everything except the plotters is standard. NADA comes out to about $24,000. Where is the boat? That might generate some interest.

1801 owners and former owners PLEASE RESPOND

Gary S, The trolling motor is a pretty easy add. I HIGHLY recommend that you put the batteries in the center console, NOT the small aft lockers. Much better for your CG. And before you decide exactly how you want it mounted, consider whether your boat naturally runs with a port list or a...

    Looking at 1801 and Questions

I've owned my 1801 for almost 8 years. Bought it new. I fish the James River exclusively, and almost always by myself so my use is a little different. The 115 does fine with just me. I have run with another person and can't tell the difference. On the rare occasions I've had 4 adults in the boat...

The biggest fish you ever caught

Thanks. Truly the fish of a lifetime. Caught April 30, 2013, the day before the trophy season opened. The next day it probably would have been a Virginia state record. I was so excited I didn't measure the fish past weighing her. I mostly fish for blue cats and flatheads. My PB's there are 69...
