Trolling motor on 2001 Parker 1801 - Bow Rail Concern

If you're undecided about port/starboard use it correct any list. I had a shop install mine. They put both the motor and the batteries on the port side. Since i am almost always by myself (on the port side, behind the wheel) it created a pronounced port list. I may move something to even out my...

    1801 Garmin placement on console

My plotter is on a bracket. But I think the more important question is location. I have it centered on the wheel, not centered on the console. The standard arrangement back then (2015) was to put the compass on the wheel centerline. But I always run on the river, so my navigation is almost...

Patching screw holes in gel coat

Great info. Stock gelcoat may or may not exactly match what you have but it will be close. Even if the repair kit is the same color the boat was built with, the original has faded over time. If you want an exact match you have to tint it to match. That is apparently beyond your skill set (and...

    2021 1801 Parker with Yamaha 150 fxb

I have a 2015 with a 115 Yamaha. It will run 37-38 MPH under those conditions. The 150 will be a little faster but I don't think a whole lot.

New Parker 1801 - cost and bow seating?

Oh yes, trim tabs definitely. Forgot to say that.... My dealer strongly recommended them and he was right.

New Parker 1801 - cost and bow seating?

I have had a Parker 1801 for five years now and love it. Bought it new. Can't tell you about discounts - I would just be guessing. The bow seating is not very big. If your wife is over 5' tall she couldn't stretch out. I will double check next time I am down to the boat. My boat has a 115 and...

About to buy 04 21 se w/o sea trial, honest opinions wanted

I'm surprised that you are willing to buy a boat that you can't run. I'm a marine surveyor and there are looooots of things that can go wrong. As you know. If it's a trade in the dealership owns the boat. They have to replace the steering cable to sell the boat anyway. Replace it and take it for...

Parker 1801 passenger capacity (and other questions)

I have a 2015 1801. I can't imagine putting 6 people on a boat that size. I mostly fish by myself and occasionally with someone else. In the summer I pull two grandkids on a tube, plus carry a spotter. With just those 4 we have to think about who sits where. 4 adult and 3 kids? I don't think so...

    Parker 1801 Upgrades

Here's another option. This is the livewell/seat from the Parker 21, with captain's chairs. I ordered my 1801 new and had this installed rather than the bench seat. Great change. Not sure how hard it would be retrofit but it could be done.

    Fuel tank longevity

I agree that you should assume that 20 year old tanks are at the end of their expected life. Some tanks fail in as little as 10 years. I don't agree with the cost to replace. I would think it's much higher..... Don't expect a surveyor to find something wrong on the bottom of the tank. Just...

    Parker 23SE Navigation lights

Admittedly I am a fresh water boater. But my stern light is working fine after 5 seasons. The bow light is now two seasons old. No problems.

    For Sale

A great little boat. I've had mine five years and love it. The 115 has been all I need.

    Parker 23SE Navigation lights

I put a trolling motor on my 1801 and added a pole light at the bow. Receptacle just like a lot of stern lights, except the bow light plugs in. Mine is 12", which is all I need to clear the trolling motor. I have a stern light on a pole, so it is no big deal to plug them both in when I need...
