300 HP Suzuki too much engine for a 2008 2300 DV CC?

I think everyone is correct here. 300 should be ok and possibly ideal.

300 HP Suzuki too much engine for a 2008 2300 DV CC?

Quick question for the gang. Is a 300 hp Suzuki four stroke too much for a 2008 23 DV CC ? I’m not worried about the insurance consideration, but more about performance and self bailing. The reason I ask is there is one that is for sale and I’m looking. The engine is on a bracket and my guess...

    2100 DV Fuel Tank Replacement

All I can say is wow. That’s a rough one. I’ve done two tank replacements and I’ve come to the conclusion that no matter how much of a pain it is, do it yourself. I’d get this fixed, and then use the boat. It’s such a bummer but at the end of the day, it’s about health and getting the boat on...

    Convert 1993 2510 5.7 I/O

With the The boat market is shifting now more to a buyers market. I would not convert the I/O boat. I would look for new 23 footer which is a very large 23 footer with a bracket and is excellent use of space. Also, there are buyers out there for I/O boats so I could be a clean and quick...

    Wheelhouse/doghouse build

Excellent work. Thanks for all the photos, they really help. The pilot house proportions look balanced. I’m about to start the exact same project on a 1975 classic mako 20’.

    1994 Parker 1801 project

Take a look at boat specialists up in Ventura. I’ve purchased two engines from them. Also, go with the largest Garmin touchscreen you can get. 10” or bigger.

    1994 Parker 1700 with Yamaha 115 or 70

After running her for multiple seasons, I can say the 115 hp Yamaha four stroke is perfect for this boat. Thanks for all the help. I would not go with any lower horsepower.

    2520 with 500 HP

Not to stir the pot, but what about a single Mercury 600 :). Had to do it! To the OP , twin 250’s on a wide heavy Parker 2520 is a excellent combination. The beam needs that power and so does the total weight and overall length. I fish one occasionally with twin 150’s and it’s not ideal. I...

Still water leaking into 1999 Parker 21 SE

Running a live well? No matter what you do, a livewell will bring water into the boat and not all of it drains overboard. Pump fittings, hoses, overflows, etc. Then add a 300lb friend and you may get scupper water intrusion. As long as the bilge isn’t kicking on, then it’s a manageable amount of...

    TRANQUILO My Parker 2330 Build

Gotta love those red evinrudes. That’s a beautiful boat. I’m glad to see I am not the only one who still runs an etec. If seahorse sees this, we still run our evinrudes!

    1801 Fuel Line Replacement?

Use a tape measure threaded down from the fill channel at the underside of the gunnel. It will pop out at the fill fitting onthe tank. Then you have your fill hose measurement. Maeasure carefully and make sure the hose is fuel rated. I suggest wholesale marine for all hoses. You can also do...

    Sold 2006 Parker 2320SC 225 Yamaha w/Trailer

Wow, excellent shape. Definitely garage kept. Price is a good starting point. The items of concern is engine age and fuel tank age. They do have a limit to their life span. Nice boat, trailer and motor.

    My Boston Based 1801

Any smell of gas in the bilge? When on a trailer, tilt her way up. Also look in the access hatch at the sender and outlet. Parker used a lot of foam around the tank and it has low points which catch water and will destroy the tank. 23 years is about the life of a tank. Since you have 20 gallons...

    Have you Neglected your trailer?

Mag wheels are a mistake. Cheap lug nuts are junk also. I’ll take the steelies all day long. Good job with the welding, it has to be done.

    My Boston Based 1801

I suggest you do the fuel tank in the future as I’m sure the foam in the coffin area is soaked. I ran for a summer season with a top side tank then bit the bullet. It’s a lot of work but worth it.

    HELP Cabin Carpet Removal

Are you painting it with epoxy paint for the refinish?

Approximate cost to replace a fuel tank in a Parker 2120 SC ? Found a 2004 that I am interested in.

I’d say at least 6 k. The tanks are expensive unless you can find a place that makes a lot of tanks. Also, the labor rates at my yards have gone up a lot.

    Parker 2801 2015 and newer

I don’t have a Parker 28’ but do run a Grady 28 with twin 250’s and Parker 2530 often. Three foot seas is bigger than most think, how close are they? 6 seconds? The bottom line here is that if you can get the tabs down and on plane, the boat will be able to handle it if it has time to recover...

    Cracked Tower Follow Up

It’s not pretty but the gussets will help. I wonder why they didn’t add these during fabrication.
