    radar angle

I use plastic washers on the mounting bolts as shims to adjust the angle of the dome. A few more on the back bolts then the front to get the desired angle. I take my dome off every Winter when I cover the boat. This Spring I decided I wanted to try a bit more angle on the dome so I added in a...

Largest swells your Parker can take

Block, I think you’re gonna have a hard time accepting the realities of the ride on your Parker transitioning from a Glacier Bay. When I bought my Parker in 2006, I was not buying it as a fishing boat. At the time I was diving offshore shipwrecks exclusively and was setting up the boat to...

Largest swells your Parker can take

I’ll take 4’ with an 8 second or more interval over tightly packed 1-2s all day long. I’m 18 seasons in with the same 2520SL. Great boat but it’s not perfect and if I am being honest, delivers an uncomfortable ride in tight chop that’s within approximately 45 degrees of the bow unless you slow...

2520 MV and Suzuki 350 duo prop

I think you’ll like it and I second the recommendation for a Suzuki Watergrip 3X16X17 propeller….

    Anchor light project

I’m not trying to be fresh but if you’re mounting your anchor light underneath the enclosure, then you’ve created a dome light. I’d suggest a clamp on bracket that attaches to the rear rail of your enclosure and gets the anchor light up and over the trailing edge of the canvas.

    2520/Suzuki 300 Performance?

I don’t typically tell other people what they should do with their boats or what to buy, so all of the following would pertain to my 2520, which is 19 years old, has bottom paint, several anchors with a lot of chain & other gear that’s always on board before I load coolers & ice . Coolers for an...

    2520/Suzuki 300 Performance?

You performance #s are better then mine so I’m not saying that it’s the wrong propeller for your boat BUT I can say with 100% assurance, that propeller would be too much for my boat and the engine would not make it into the recommended RPM zone at WOT….

    2520/Suzuki 300 Performance?

I have 2005 2520SL, notched transom with a 2019 Suzuki DF300APXX. I now have 860 hours on the engine since hung in the Spring of 2019. I am running a Suzuki Watergrip 3 x16x17. Your performance # are approximately 7% better then mine in terms of top speed & fuel economy.

New to Parkers, 20 years recreational boating

I agree that 2x150s in Southern New England is enough power but what would cause me concern is the $70K price on a boat with 2007 model year engines. The hours are low but 15 years is a long life for an outboard, particularly so one that’s lived in the salt…..

Sending unit length for 1996 Parker 2520 pilot house?

If you’ve got an original tank and it’s not leaking, I wouldn’t mess with the sending unit. Let sleeping dogs lie. Fill up and start keeping a log of hours and how much fuel you put in when you fill up. Doesn’t take a mathematical genius to know how much fuel is in your tank with at least as...

    BOAT SHOE SUGGESTION

They’re awesome. Kind of weird model name IMO “Deviation” :ROFLMAO: but they’re excellent. Truth be told, I like mine so much that I bought a second pair that are unworn just to make sure that I have my next pair in the event they quit making them. First pair is holding up very well, might be a...

    BOAT SHOE SUGGESTION

These boots are absolutely awesome. Most comfortable shoes I own. Soles are very supportive and the boots don’t slip or slide on a wet or even bloody deck. They’re fantastic on the boat or anywhere else you can get away wearing them...

    honda 250's

I came VERY close to buying a Tohatsu 250 when I repowered back in 2019. In the end the 50 extra HP, FBW shifting, pretty white paint and timing chain motivated me to buy the 2019 Suzuki DF300APXX, it’s been great so far through 850+ hours and I have no regrets but that Tohatsu looked like a...

    New 2520XLD Pricing - - - WOW WOW WOW

Pricing on the new Parkers proves that there are a lot of people in this country with a lot of $$ or a lot of people really good at borrowing $. Toss in electronics and other essential gear required to equip a new boat, a few rods and some tackle, a trailer, sales tax and you’re pushing $300K...

    Can't fill fuel tank - 2520XL

Is the boat on the trailer or in the water? If the boat is in the water and you’re filling up at a marina, you could try bringing some heavy weight friends with you and having them stand on the gunnel opposite of the fill nozzle to get the boat to list. I know that on my boat, I can squeeze...

Do NOT use a heat gun on anything associated with the fuel tank….

    Generations of Parkers-The Tradition Continues.

I’ve owned the same Parker 2520SL since 2006. I purchased the boat from a 93 year old man who bought it new in 2005 and put 39 hours on it. Boat came with a Yamaha F225 that I ran for 1800+ hours. The Yamaha dropped a valve in September of 2018 while turning 4800 RPMs and made some really bad...
