Probable a stupid question- New Parker Owner BTW

I have never thought about it but I like your answer. I have a 2005 Parker 2520SL and my seating configuration is EXACTLY as you describe. Thank you Sir for the education……👍👍

I wish I could have convinced you not to go through with it but you seem committed…..😂🤣

    Installing Lewmar Pro Fish 700

When I put the windless on my Parker, I used #6 wire with a breaker at the battery and then the lewmar breaker that came with my windless mounted on an open section of my dash , see red arrow In picture below. I have never experienced any complications having 2 breakers on the windlass power.

    Sold 2006 Parker 2320SC 225 Yamaha w/Trailer

Chip, In the pre inflation/ supply chain economy, I’d say that you’re $10-15K above the market but where the used boat market in the Northeast was last Spring & Summer, who’s to say? I think the market this Spring is gonna be softer then it was last year but that’s just speculation on my part...

    Oops 😬…..

My money says, the pry out inspection ports on 50%+ of Parker Boats are leaking and the foam surrounding the fuel tanks on all those boats is wet with brackish water. It’s not a desirable situation and does eventually cause issues with the fuels tanks but the problems manifest over...

    Installing Lewmar Pro Fish 700

Shawn, I copy all. A few tidbits and then I promise to stand down. First: I‘m sure people do otherwise but it’s a really bad idea to run around with an anchor hanging from the pulpit on the windlass without a safety pin. If the clutch on the windlass fails or someone inadvertently deploys...

    Installing Lewmar Pro Fish 700

After 17 seasons with the same Parker 2520 with a fully functional lewmar windlass on the bow the entire time. I’d recommend returning the windlass, leaving what’s currently on your bow intact and buying an anchor ball retrieval setup and a plastic tote and store the anchor in the cockpit. I...

What did you pay for your Parker boat and when?

Nice boat, have you checked/replaced those pry out inspection ports in your deck for water tightness?? On a 20 year old boat, those ports if original are almost guaranteed to be leaking and getting a lot of saltwater onto and under things you don’t want soaking in saltwater….

What did you pay for your Parker boat and when?

I bought a year old 2520SL with 39 hours on the like new Yamaha F225 in the spring of 2006. The boat came equipped with a Furuno RADAR and Raymarine bottom machine and an ancient black and white chart plotter that had been transferred from another boat. The boat looked and smelled brand new and...

21SE for Mass North Shore waters?

If I’m lucky enough to get to use my boat this year, 2023 will be my 18th season with the same Parker 2520 SL (Mod-V). I have 840+ hours on my second engine after putting on 1800+ hours on my first engine. I estimate that I have 10,000 hours of time spent on the boat when all my drift time is...

Need Auto pilot repairs and possible steering upgrade?

You’ve got a number of variables that could be causing and or contributing to both your steering issues and or the autopilot not working. There are multiple components in an autopilot system that can prevent it from functioning as simple as a blown fuse, loose wire connection, magnetic...

Suzuki DF300APXX Drive Shaft Grease Report

That post you respond to is a couple of years old. I dropped the lower unit and replaced the water pump again in November 2022. This was the 4th time I removed the lower unit since the engine was hung new in 2019. The engine now has 840 total hours. Thankfully the lower unit slid right down...

    Inexpensive, DIY ideas

I don’t have a picture and honestly the idea isn’t really worthy of a picture BUT when your retrieving a boat with trailer, taping the winch strap hook to the end of a telescopic boat pole/hook can be used to hook the bow eye of the boat from a distance that will be helpful in keeping your feet...

The biggest fish you ever caught

Nothing outrageously big but enough of these nice sized Yellowfins to keep us eating Tuna typically 3 nights a week throughout the year, until I can get out the next season and hopefully fill the freezer again. I’m a HARD disagree on tuna not freezing well. If you process the fish correctly...

    Yamaha 250 advice

Still plenty of Yamaha F250s of that vintage running. The F250 of that time frame is regarded overall as an excellent engine although there is a significant known issues with mid section exhaust corrosion in Yamaha 6 cylinder engines of that vintage. The issue tends to be a bit more prevalent...
