    Permatrim Bolts Breaking.

I’ll use your word choice to describe most of your response and deem it as ridiculous, however I did find some merit in what you wrote quoted above. Equip the boat with the correct propeller and load the cockpit with an eye towards proper weight distribution and you can make the 90% a 100%...

    Permatrim Bolts Breaking.

If these permatrim units are snapping mounting bolts, have any of you fans of these devices considered the additional stress that you’re putting on the engine bracket, trim cylinders or the boat transom by installing and running them on your engines? I’m in my 17th season with the same Parker...

Cost of a new boat going back years.

Over the years, I have repowered, replaced the fuel tank, replaced the steering and added in quite a bit of electronics to include autopilot. I might recoup my initial outlay but I wouldn’t be close to recouping what it cost to equip the boat as it presently is. I’m not complaining, I have so...

Cost of a new boat going back years.

In the Spring of 2006 I bought a 2005 2520SL with 39 hours on the engine and a trailer that had never been in the water. Everything looked and smelled like brand new. The boat had a RADAR, chart plotter and depth finder for $52,000.

    Anti siphon valve question

The fitting on the fuel tank that your rubber fuel line meets is the anti siphon valve. The anti siphon valve threads into the pickup tube. You can buy a fitting identical in size and appearance to an anti siphon valve that does not have the ball valve inside. Rumor has it that a lot of folks...

    Fuel smell 2320

The sending will only leak when the fuel tank is totally full and once the fuel leaks off full or you burn off some fuel the sending unit stops leaking. The top of tank dries off and you don’t think that’s the problem but the leaked fuel still collects in the coffin, makes the boat smell like...

    Fuel smell 2320

I went through it in 2020, yes frustrating…..

    Fuel smell 2320

If you’re 100% sure that the tank passed a pressure test, kinda eliminates a lot of issues. If the 2320 design is the same as the 2520, fuel tank sits in a coffin under the deck that does not have a drain. You mentioned that the sending unit has recently been replaced, it is possible that...

    Zuk 300 prop?

    I have a 2520SL with a 2019 Suzuki DF300APXX also running the same wheel with favorable results…..

    Need Some Advice

I’d make sure to either dump a couple of buckets of water or spray with a hose around both deck inspection plates, get them good and soaked. Then wipe them off and then have the seller open the inspection ports for you. Feel all around the fuel tank and see how much water you‘re touching. If...

    Inspection Pie Plate replacement

The Armstrong does rise up slightly above the deck but you’d REALLY have to try to stub your toe on it. I’ll take the chance on that in exchange for dryness underneath. I have never had a pry out stay as dry as the Armstrong. IMO and having personally lived it, Parker doesn’t have a problem...

    Inspection Pie Plate replacement

Just hand tight. As I recall the instructions specifically warned not to over tighten them.

    Inspection Pie Plate replacement

In my humble opine Armstrongs inspection port covers are dryer then any pry out.

    Fuel consumption

I’m about the same with a 2520 and Suzuki 300. Everything I own is always slower and burns more fuel when compared to any identical vessel or vehicle, others give internet performance reports on. Either my stuff sucks or people exaggerate performance when discussing it on the internet. My...

Does anyone know what this might be??

That’s one way not to forget the plug but I only tow twice a year as long as there isn’t a hurricane or a maintenance issue that requires haul out. I like to trailer with the plug out because I pull some steep grades between my house and the marina and I know that on those steep hills with the...

Does anyone know what this might be??

Whenever I remove my drain plug I tape it to the wheel. I do this to hopefully prevent me from losing it and HOPEFULLY preventing me from having a brain fart and launching with the plug still out. I learned a long tome ago to never say never.

Does anyone know what this might be??

It is a drain plug and if it’s not a spare and your boat is in the water, you best get down there asap because you’ve got water coming into the bilge….

Gas smell 2520 2004 Parker SE

The gasket on your fuel sending unit is another possible source of the smell. When the tank is FULL, you may have some fuel leaking out around the sending unit but once the tank is down a few gallons, you no longer have fuel pushing up around the gasket and you can’t find the leak. Next time...

Boat For Sale 2016 Parker 2320 For Sale $95000

My boat is similarly equipped but with older electronics and I did all the work myself. There is nothing easy or inexpensive installing all that gear and it looks like whoever did the install on that boat took pride in their work. Somewhat amazing that one is not already sold, what a nice...
