Ditto. I added a second battery in the opposite jumpseat early on and am now moving them into the console with a BEP ahead of a repower. Livewell is a waste of space if you don’t use it. Maybe substitute a tackle station.

Full disclosure, I am not the intended market for this boat. I love my 1800 and but for some console modifications she is perfect for me. I scrubbed the ad a few times in slow motion and found it interesting what they chose to highlight and skip. Where were the inlets? Nice convertible...

But for the console and motor I haven’t found a need to cover my 1800 in several years now. I keep the bow cranked up high (time to lube the Jack too) and the deck will generally clear itself. If we get walloped with snow a quick sweep with a leaf blower will clear the deck. Along with pulling...

I’m at about a 30 mile max too with my 1800. It is not so much about the idea of stuff breaking down as much as what Mother Nature can whip up in the time it takes to get back to port. I’ve had to run around and from weather… not fun.

I couple of coats of PVA works too. I’ve used weighed down plastic wrap and clear packing tape too. PVA is probably the cleanest and most successful for me.

Actually, I am more concerned for people who use the term ******* and the damage that may already have been done. But go ahead Champ, keep on huffing.

Did you go directly to The New Parker for the parts or through the dealer? I would have probably wanted to do the fix myself too but would also want the dealer looped in to see how they respond. It is important for both to know where these issues are developing so that if they care they can...

Hyperbole generally doesn’t support a fact based discussion. In matters of safety, I prefer to follow the industry standards that in part a there to keep us from killing ourselves. But it’s your boat so go ahead and huff all the fumes you want.

Ouch… It looks like the lift might have helped let her down somewhat gently. How does her hull look? As someone who will have their first boat lift in a few years, this kind of thing is in my future as well. Don’t they make some kind of through-bolt lock that you can put in place for storms...
