    2520 XLD Single or Twins

Since you fish mostly from 5-20 miles I think you are good with a single if double maint on twins is a concern. If you start running to canyons at 70 plus you'd probably like twin 200's

    2820xld or 2520xld

Real numbers are 1.7-1.8. Noway 2.1 I even do better since going to 4 blade ss prop

14 Parker 2520 XLD for sale

I remember you started out with a 2120 and within a year you bumped up to the 2520. You have a beautiful boat I agree think long and hard about selling, as I am sure you took a big hit with the 2120 and you will take a hit with this one

    2820xld or 2520xld

I know I couldn't take a hit like that lol

    2820xld or 2520xld

If you go with another 2520xld I would say a pair of 200's is ideal. Enough power and decent fuel consumption. Also depends om how many you usually have aboard, if number is 4 or more most of the time go 28

    Friday's Bluefins

It was a decent day weather wise. The trip previous it was really flat, we had 9 yellowfins on that trip but my buddies go pro had issues that day

    Friday's Bluefins

My buddy didn't go crazy editing but here is clip from Friday's midshore trip which yielded 2 50 lb bluefins on my 2520 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWmquXJ ... e=youtu.be

    How to clear speedometer pickup?

I once had a piece of thin braid that got sucked up in there. I use a large paper clip and run it through the hole every year.

    Bluefin Tuna

Nice job. We have been seeing a lot of bluefins on our way back and forth from canyons but have thrown everything at them and cannot get a touch. We were in a pod of 150-200 lb fish just cruising pushing water, we could have harpooned one easily. The yellowfin fishing in the canyons has been off...

    spreader light brackets

Mine came with brackets but I used the ones that were already mounted when I switched over to LED. If you don't have any I can find this pair in my garage someplace

    Forward Bilge Pump in 2520

Both my forward and stern pumps have switches at helm but forward will not kick on with the float unless batteries are on

    Forward Bilge Pump in 2520

Another little quirk with my 2520 xld. Seems my forward bilge pump will not go on automatically. The only time it will engage is when I turn on the batteries. It does have a float switch, been like this since new but really getting on my nerves as I just hand pumped 3 5 gallon buckets out over...

    Persistent Hull Joint Leak

If the boat is 14 yrs just re-seat all the hardware anyway. After 14 years and previous owner was not that great with maintenance you.mine as well

    Persistent Hull Joint Leak

I had that problem with my 2120, I just siliconed the joint under the rub rail with Boat Life and never had another leak. I feel for you, it would bug the crap out of me as well
