Cost of a new boat going back years.

I ordered my 2015 2520 XLD in Sept of 14. I got every available kickback from Parker and my dealer. The price was supposed to go to 117K in Jan of 2015, I paid 90K, throw in 10k for electronics and rigging and looks like I got a steal. I can probably get my 90 back pretty easily right now

    Fuel consumption

Well my mechanic did the decarb last week and went 52 miles the next day tuna fishing. Not as good as new but decent enough till my new Suzuki arrives. I got about 1.3 or so and engine sounds smooth and quiet.

    Zuk 300 prop?

I am still pretty sure I am going to raise mine one or two notches as my yami always seemed to plow at lower end speeds. I also think I will add a second smg4 gauge to keep track of things a little easier.

    Zuk 300 prop?

I went ahead and ordered a new 300 Suzuki since new engines from Yamaha are non exsistent. For those of you that repowered with Suzuki, what size prop should I use with my 2520 XLD? Also, those of you that have the SMG4 gauge , is it a good idea to get 2 to keep track of things or would that be...

    Fuel consumption

Well the injector cleaning/tuneup definetly helped the situation so far. I went from 0.9,1.0-1.1 to 1.2-1.3. This week my mechanic will perform another decarb, change oil,new plugs. That seemed to help 2 years ago. I am no longer waiting on Yamaha to send me my new 300 after 14 months, I ordered...

    Fuel consumption

I never saw 2 mpg on my boat ever, with the Yamaha Saltwater II or the Power Tech 4 blade. Never heard anything yesterday about my injectors, but hopefully today. If the injectors doesn't fix my problem I will tell mechanic to do a compression test. If it's a bad cylinder I will basically be...

    Fuel consumption

Wow those #'s are not bad. I have a 2015 2520 XLD with a Yamaha 300 Man 2014. I used the above prop the first season but then went to a 4 blade Power Tech to get on plane faster. I think the best I ever did on a canyon trip was 1.8-1.9. After 2 years I've seen my avg go down. I now have 2234...

    Parker 2520 or 2510 Mod V with 350hp

I am in same boat. From what I've read it seems the Suzuki 300 is more reliable than the 350. I have been waiting 13-14 months for a Yamaha and I am ready to throw the towel in on them. I could have had a new white 300 zuk in March but didn't want to lose my mechanic and figured by years time...

    New motor

I have been waiting 13 months now for a new 300 yamaha 30" shaft. I came across 2 Suzuki's last winter in Florida but didn't pull the trigger, mainly because I didn't want to lose my mechanic BUT if I don't hear anything positive by the end of this season I will be strapping on a new 300Zuk.

    Inspection Pie Plate replacement

I found the gaskets in a marine hardware store near me. I used marine silicone for the install of the ring but smeared some 5200 on the edge of the wood cutout as the factory didn't do a great job sealing the cut.

    Inspection Pie Plate replacement

I replaced mine last year from Great Lakes. I got the screw down ones as you described, I like them better as well, the gasket for the original ones were more than half the price of the replacement cost

    New owner looking for advice

I just bought some white rustolem from home depot. Not an exact match but within a month or so it blends right in. I usually have to hit a spot or two every spring during make ready

    Prop advice

I used the Yamaha Saltwater Series II the first year which came with the boat new 2015 2520XLD. I switched to a 4 blade Powertech and was able to get on plane quicker and a little improved fuel consumption. I actually spun the hub on it when I splashed on Friday and put the Yami prop back on for...

Mounting kill bag inside pilot house

Not sure what boat you have, that would be helpful. I have a 2520 and keep a large kill bag folded in half alongside the port jump seat. Fits perfectly there, easily accessible

    Windlass recommendations?!

If you want a great windlass contact Good Windlass in Barnegat. Lewmar is ok but is a PITA the way it installed on Parkers. The hause hole is not center of the anchor locker and if you fish in anything over 50' you will have to go down below and sweep back the rode otherwise it will get jammed...

    Strange gelcoat problem unveiled

I think it will blend right in during the season and not look as obvious. Maybe hit the hull with some compound

    Fisher Boat covers

Excellent cover, I am getting ready to put mine on for the 6th time and still looks like new. Fits perfectly and now into my bonus years.

    What's better for 2820: Twin 150 or 300/350 duoprop?

Do yourself a favor and go with twin 300's. On a side note the Zuk dual prop 300 is $$$, looking to find n engine now, found one in Florida and it was 34 with all the rigging and props.

    Repower 2015 2520 XLD

I got a call from Will yesterday, he does have a 300 with a 30 in stock and gave me a good price all rugged at 26,750 BUT it would cost me a little over 4k to get boat back and forth. He also said it should be no problem with my auto pilot. I called him back today and left a message if he would...

    Repower 2015 2520 XLD

I called them this morning, he does have a white 300 verado with a 25 inch shaft that he said he could turn into a 30. His price rigged was 33-34k, this is without knowing if and how much it would take to make my auto pilot function as the Verado's steering is different from the regular...
