Parker 2510 WA DV (2006) Fuel Tank Cleaning

Sounds like good news. I had an issue with the liner of a fuel line that had separated right at the end, and when it was slipped back onto the barb that liner folded over and blocked the passage. I've heard that any grey fuel lines on the older yamahas running from the tank to the outboard are...

Parker 2510 WA DV (2006) Fuel Tank Cleaning

If there is an access hatch over your fuel level sending unit, you can open that up and look inside the tank to get a visual of any issues in there. I would start with that. Be careful with the loosening and tightening the screws as the aluminum is pretty soft. Also would be good to have a...

    Hydraulic steering fluid

I notice it is not as responsive as it once was. You might have some air that has gotten into the system. Where did I go wrong? The guy in the video appeared to only be adding a small amount of fluid to the helm. I didn't see him loosen the fitting on the rear cylinder or mess with any tubes...

    Rebuilt/refurbished Seastar Helms?

If it has the same warranty I'd try a rebuilt. Once you spend a couple frustrating hours changing the thing out for the first time, the next time is much easier. If it doesn't have the same warranty then I'd probably avoid it. The helms and cylinders seem like they either work for years or...

    Plastic Fuel vent cover

Has anyone seen any of the fuel vent covers made of starboard for sale anywhere. I though Cecil marine had them at one point but I'm not seeing them now. I'm not having issues with water getting in, but mine is cracked and I'd rather just replace this thing than upgrade the whole vent fitting...

    ESTABLISHING BOTTOM PAINT LINE ON 2018 23SE w 250 4.2

I've always heard to put it in the water for a week to figure out your water line. Then pull it back out and tape off the line about 1.5-2" above the water mark. And consider how much extra weight might be in there once you're ready to leave it on the mooring. You don't want it sitting a lot...

    Standing water, transom

Anything significant should get sent out by the bilge pump, but that leftover amount usually dries up within a day or two where I’m at. And on days that I’m willing to go the extra mile, I have a portable Milwaukee shop vac that I use to get the bulk of it out before I leave the boat. I’ve read...

    Standing water, transom

On the trailer or at the dock? Do you also have water in the center bilge beneath the main cabin? At the dock, I have a little water in both of those areas after a rain or a day out in choppy water. If the boat is sitting level with the water line the lowest spot is generally more in the...

    1801 Fuse holders in harness

Yeah if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. But actually I guess you could pull the fuses and see what stops working? Might have to cut a couple zip ties but not the whole run. I should’ve thought of that sooner.

PARKER 23 SE LIVE-WELL FOR FRESH WATER MOTOR FLUSH USING WASH DOWN PUMP / QUESTIONS

Couple things I would ponder: Where are you getting the 40 gallons of fresh water? I guess you could fill up while you're out but how much time does that take from each boat trip? And a 3.5 gpm pump might not have the psi you're wanting for engine flush so is there any way to test this before...

    1801 Fuse holders in harness

There's probably no way to really know without tracing the wires to whatever they connect to. But I'd be willing to bet it's not any factory. In-line fuses are pretty common on anything aftermarket. Anything with a switch is a good candidate. Non-factory trim tabs with indicator switch...

    Candy Cane Rocket Launcher Thingy

Assuming you intend to hang this off the roof rocket launcher. If so, I think I'd want the bottom of the new rod holders to be no lower than the ones on the rocket launcher. Anything lower than that and I'd be watching for someone to end up with a rod holder imprint on their skull since it would...

FRESH WATER ENGINE FLUSH / WASH DOWN PUMP FOR 23 SE , IDEAS PLEASE YAMAHA 250 4.2 ENGINE

I have a similar situation with a slip that does not have freshwater available. I use the ~15 gallon tank on the boat and bring a couple extra 5 gallon buckets of water in the truck to refill. I only get about 5 minutes per engine. I try to use saltaway mix at least every couple months. It's...

anyone with either 300's or 250's on a 28 cc care to share their thoughts and performance

I don't have a 2801. But in looking for performance info on mine, adding mpg mph to the google search has been useful: 2801 woth Twin F300's https://cdnmedia.endeavorsuite.com/images/organizations/17e2ef9a-5a8d-4f01-9fa5-c54ba175bb82/pdf/Asset80501_v1.pdf And there used to be an archive of...

Washdown pump quick connect fitting leaking

I ordered the Whale pump since it was one of the few that didn’t have the o-ring quick connect fittings. I’ll try to remember to report back if it fails early. I think I’m gonna try replacing the o-rings and moving the jabsco to run my freshwater tank. I found the box for ut and it was only...

Washdown pump quick connect fitting leaking

Yeah, I’d like to get something with threaded ports for peace of mind. Looks like jabsco and Johnson only use the quick connects now. Whale and shurflo seem to be the only brands (other than the random stuff on Amazon) that use threaded ports. Whale has one that’s 70psi but only listed at 4.5...

Washdown pump quick connect fitting leaking

Anyone else had trouble with the quick connect fittings on a washdown pump? I have a jabsco that I think is not even the high pressure one but it has a spray coming from the quick connect on the pump outlet side. The o-ring is on the fitting and the retainer clip clicks into place with no issue...

    Parker pilothouse Deck Shade

I had this thread bookmarked for ideas on a sunshade: https://www.classicparker.com/threads/sunshade-a-grouperjim-tribute.6847/ And this guy wins for most professional design, but I can't say it's worth the effort: Parker 28 Pilothouse Retractable Canopy Top - International Achievement Awards...

    Have you Neglected your trailer?

I had a similar experience. After buying my project, I had to replace axles and cross members on the trailer before the boat could even move. The lug nuts were half rusted away similar to your issue but I had plenty of time and not a customer waiting on me. Multiple days of soaking with liquid...

    Replacing Front Window Hinges

You can get square bits to use in a screwdriver at the hardware store. The square bit screw is the original and the one in the bottom looks like it’s been replaced. If you get that square bit screw out, you could take it to the hardware store to match it up in size with a philips flat head.
