    1801 Front Cooler Livewell

I think it's different for everyone. It was too much weight for my liking. My boat liked the added weight in front of the console.

    1801 Front Cooler Livewell

Not really. It pumps over the transom and a long way so I think even 10GPM is overstating it. The well empties onto the deck from both sides so the water runs along under the gunwales toward the back. One upside...it keeps the deck pretty clean! I'm open to draining this some other way but this...

    1801 Front Cooler Livewell

Pretty much. Transom mounted 800GPH, 3/4 hose that pumps to a custom live-well in front of my console. Over that distance it's not overwhelming and will keep 3 dozen mackerel all day. Its only an issue with 3 people fishing. I'm on the water by 330am so I don't usually have many guests.

The tank on my 1800 drains onto the deck, then out the scuppers. 20 years like that.

Hot off the press: New 26CC

    My first thought also!

    Cracked Welds

Repairing thin-walled Al tubing presents some problems. I'm guessing 2" sch. 40, which will be .154" thick? (1-1/2" will be even thinner) Because that crack is essentially in the base metal (tube), that area will be very thin. And even if its welded perfectly, you've now just moved those...

    Cracked Welds

Agreed👍...which is why I said "it" and not the "weld" Welds hold stuff together but also transfer stresses smoothly between the pieces. That it cracked in the toe of the weld means there are some stresses getting transferred locally, either fatigue or cyclic. The weld repair may only be...

    Cracked Welds

Yeah, a fabricator will need to grind or wire wheel that to clean metal before welding. The welding heat will make a mess of the coating a couple inches beyond the weld too. Any idea on why it cracked?

2520 MV and Suzuki 350 duo prop

Foxy, let us know how you make out with the new motor. I'm curious how that works out for you.

2520 MV and Suzuki 350 duo prop

Well that would be great if it's an equal swap, size for size. My thinking was that because of the material difference, i.e. the weight, and the thinner blades, that I would need to make some sort of adjustment. This is what's on there now. Either way, I'm splitting hairs at this point. I...

2520 MV and Suzuki 350 duo prop

I had the same issue last year when I hung a new Zuke. Couldn't find anyone that had the new 140B model on an 1800/1801. Fortunately, my dealer nailed it with the OEM aluminum prop... the numbers are great. I now have to figure out what I'll need for a stainless one. Good luck with your new...

Does this mean you will be the first? I did a quick search and didn't see that anyone had this.

    Gel coat 21se

Where you have so much and need so little, try some on a small piece of anything and see if the color matches. I'm guessing its all the same from the factory.

    2520 ENGINE OPTIONS

I'm pretty sure most here don't differentiate. From Watergoat; "I hated getting seasick on my own boat." CO poisoning is CO poisoning regardless of the source. Adding more of it to your cockpit and the risk associated with it is what people here are advising on. No one is losing sleep over it.😴

You mean the ABYC compliant stuff?😄

Seems rather provocative from a guy who's been here less than a week seeking advice...

Nice rig. Tough to see "it all" with only one picture though. We're a visually needy bunch here!:p

Sorry to see that. Best wishes for all of you moving forward.

Hurricane Ravaged '91 Parker -- Need parts

Sorry for loss. Indeed, photos always help. Model number would help also. Those who share a similar boat will be your best resource.
