    Yamaha bogdown

I'll bet the carb cleaning/re-building will do the trick. You're right, the carbs do have a lot more small passages and holes than traditional carbs. This is 1 reason the carb Yamahas set gas milege records. Way more economical than the competition. I had a similar problem w/115-2. After...

    Classic Shotgun

If you find a nicer one for less, let me know. Should you want the gun, we could meet in Savannah. I'm needing a roadtrip anyway. Someone explained it to me this way..."The first shot costs you $3500, the rest are free" :D

    2005 Yamaha 4-stroke 225 / ethanol question

Parker has installed fuel filters/separators for at least 10 years on all their boats. Yamaha F-225's come factory equiped with water seperator under cowl. Good luck w/your find 8)

Any word on the Parker 34'????

You must not know much about modern outboard engines based on your above statement! V-8 Yamahas sell daily for $18,000. Yamahas/Hondas last 5,000 hours plus. 600 hours? . When it's time to repower, costs maybe $600.00, not 10's of thousands. Jarrett Bay uses a rule of...

    '75 Aquasport 170 or '81 Mako 171????

IMO, the Mako will be worth more or easier to sell. Way better known name. Isn't the 17 Mako something of a classic? Better yet, why not hold out for an old Parker 18? How much trouble to replace that obsolete Merc with modern Yamaha power? :D

How do I synchronize my compass reading to the GPS ?

I'm gonna take my compass out and convert the hole into something useful like a cupholder. What a foolish place for a compass...what were they thinking?

    150 Yamaha on an 1801

Are you counting the motor foot? Boat draft is usually stated as hull only. Maybe you're looking at the wrong boat as Parker makes a 21 bay boat and a kick-butt, hard core 23 bay boat. I'm not too sure there is a shallow draft Florida flats boat made that is also a good offshore boat. ...

I know a taboo question for some

I know the fuel tank is under console in 18, 23SE and 23DV. A lot of boats with head in console accomplish this by moving console foreward. Makes a goofy looking center console w/console in front of boat. Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it!
