Bilge pump pad wet and delaminating

Hello, I was getting the Parker ready for the 2023 season and swapping out the water fuel separator and noticed large cracks through the gelcoat on the bulbs pump mounting pad. I started investigating and the glass and gelcoat peeled right off. Without thinking about it much I started to worry...

    1801 stereo options

I run a 400watt kenwood Bluetooth amp. I have 2 150watt kenwood speakers that I replaced with the original ones that were blown from when I bought it, the thing bumps and is loud even under WOT. Stream your phone or any Wi-Fi device. I mounted the amp on the floor inside console with double...

    Repowering Parker 1801 with 150

Yes I have played around with many props and the results are pretty much the same. The best combo for me was a 16p SCD4. I have tried the 19k 17k and 15p SCD3 as well. Also have run the SCD4 in a 15p good for heavier loads, but the fastest prop out of the hole and no loss of top end is the SCD4 16p

    Repowering Parker 1801 with 150

Partly yes, but mostly to get a better cruise speed. A friend of mine has a 22 1801 with a Yamaha 150, he’s getting 35mph at 4400 rpm 6gph. Wot is 45-48mph. I boat in the sound where there are time where I am able to operate WOT, not a rare occasion but yes I would like more usable power and a...

    Repowering Parker 1801 with 150

Just wondering if anyone has repowered their 1801 or 1800s with 150hp outboard. I am starting to look into replacing my F115 with a newer 4stroke motor. I was looking at the DF140a from Suzuki, it has lean burn tech, and is the same block as the 115. Same displacement, just with upgraded ecu...

    Transom bolt resealing

was wondering if anyone could shed some light on resealing my transom engine through bolts the correct way. I recently moved my motor up a hole as the motor looked a bit low and the AC plate was subsurface while on plane. while doing the adjustment I used an old trick by placing a few blocks of...

    Interlux VC performance epoxy

Ongoing bottom paint removal gelcoat restore has been a bit tedious and patch work has been kicking my ass. The gelcoat voids are time consuming and take a lot of work to get them flush and polished back. My boat is not wet slipped so have been going back and forth with the idea of topside paint...

    Strange gelcoat problem unveiled

Thanks, I may take your advice and try and tint with a pin drop of brown. If I can get it slightly darker it’s a win for me. All the sanding and finishing is not a problem, it’s the color matching business that makes the repair

    Strange gelcoat problem unveiled

Well I wet sanded the port side hull to try my best to blend in the existing gel coat with the patch. It’s not horrible but It pains me that the shade of the new gelcoat seems way off to me. I am tempted to experiment and try to tint it closer to the gelcoat if I can get it so that It disappears...

    843Parker 1801(Bristol Condition)

absolute stunner you have there man! so damn clean. Deff do #2 and #3 ASAP, also a 4 blade prop the boat will handle and feel like a 20 plus foot boat with the ability to keep the bow down in chop. also the 4 blade will keep you on plane at slower speeds and create incredible stern lift for our...

    Strange gelcoat problem unveiled

I could possibly fair it out but that would mean not taping off any tight areas and sort of fan brushing it out into the surrounding area. My only concern would be that the gelcoat would have to be decently thick in order for it to cure? I was thinking that would prob help hide it alot better as...

    Patch line gelcoat repair

What do you guys think of this repair I did. It’s not perfect but I spoke to a few pros and they say that matching gelcoat is very very hard. I’m a bit puzzled bc the Cecil gelcoat cured lighterthan my 2004 hull. Figured it would have been the other way around.

    Strange gelcoat problem unveiled

I filled up the gouges and did my best to fair it even, it’s not easy and somehow the color dries lighter than the original finish, it’s pretty obvious from a distance. Wondering what else I can do here. Out of ideas, not sure custom mixing will be easy to achieve.

    2003 Parker Gelcoat

His is an area I’m building up o do an extensive repair to the water line. As you can see it’s an identical color match, once sanded and polished it will be identical
