CP Family, Is a fuel conditioner really required in my outboard, even with a fuel/water separator and a fuel filter?

I had a very similar issue with my windless, but luckily for me, it was the rope jamming. Too much rope was bunching up near where the rope comes into the anchor locker. Now, I just make sure that area stays clear.

I also like Starbrite deck cleaner. Every 4 months I use a dual action buffer and apply a light coat of wax, which helps when I scrub the deck.
