    It’s a wrap

I think we have another month, at least. This was the last weekend, my MIL visiting - she had a blast!

    Fuel economy

What are you reading your speed off of? If it's a pitot, it could be off, as compared to GPS, some deviation is okay (speed over land vs water), but a large difference could skew your mpg numbers.

    Seating in cockpit 2320

Yes, we got the E-SeaRider, very good quality, dry them with the towels and keep them in the boat, rotate with some we keep at home. Pat Bennett <[email protected]> This was the last purchase: 2 x Teardrop Style Marine Bean Bag - Medium Longneck (MTL-003-SS-) = $259.90 We also have a bunch...

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

A quick update - love this new prop, it's great for plowing through some rougher stuff at low speed, the boat can stay on plane at 3,400-3,600 RPM and barely 20mph, which is much more comfortable as I would have to go quite a bit faster to stay on plane with the OEM prop. The OFS4 is definitely...

    Seating in cockpit 2320

Watching what you will come up with! I'm thinking of replacing the bench with two suspension/pedestal seats. Vertical bouncing is significant in the cabin, forward facing suspension seats make a lot of sense and there is enough room for an install that would permit full adjustments, and the...

Questions from prospective first time owner.

Questions from prospective first time owner.

Make sure you get on one and do some sea trials, if your are in the Northern NJ/NYC area - I would be more than happy to take you out in my 2021 2320. These boats are different than their bigger brethren. They are not cheap, with my 2320 we were pretty close to the upper bracket you mentioned...

I forgot to add Ken's contact info, I was very impressed with his service and communication. Ken Reeves [email protected] 941 735 5808 --

Windlass Install on Pulpit for those that have done it themselves.

FActory setup has two large cleats, one on each side of the windlass. @Mpellet cleats off off the cockpit, with the line going through the bow eye though, which is very smart way to do that, especially for solo artists like many of us. I still like the anchor ball for retrieval, PIA but it...

Windlass Install on Pulpit for those that have done it themselves.

Okay, that makes sense. I find the anchor ball to be more reassuring. It is a PIA to deploy and retrieve given limited access into the pulpit, it really is a royal pain if you have my body type, lol. But, it does provide a more aggresive angle to pull up a stuck anchor, plus gives some buffer by...

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

Finally got to swap the prop and test it today, the new PowerTech OFS4. OEM - SWS2 Swapped with this: The conditions were perfect... for the purpose of this test! 4-5ft chop with 6s period. Ouch. It was really crappy, I could barely hold the phone to take pics. Normally, I wouldn't...

Windlass Install on Pulpit for those that have done it themselves.

Sorry for the hijack, but I'm curious. You would still use the windlass with the anchor ball technique, just not to break the anchor from the bottom, correct? I use the motor to break the anchor, but then reel it in with the windlass once the anchor hits the ball at the surface.

    2120 Cracks at Transom

I’m thinking the most relevant here would be the third? Let's keep in mind Newton’s third law applies well to rigid bodies like a rock, or a trailer. But it gets messy when it comes to fluids; that’s why we sink through water while Newton's third law is still true. I will submit that if the...

    2120 Cracks at Transom

If you (God forbid!) fall on your head, would you rather hit a foam pad or a concrete slab? body weight being the same in both scenarios. --

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

It's a lot more than I paid last time I was shopping for a SS 4blade propeller, lol. I'll let Ken do the talking, the supply appears extremely limiting and there maybe some production issues on top of it. Mine was in the 7-8 hundred range IIRC, but it was ordered months ago.

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

Finally...! My new wheel arrived. Ready to be tested. Hopefully this weekend. Purchased from Ken of Prop Gods, first class service and advice, great communication. --

    2120 Cracks at Transom

I don't think so. With boat in the water, if you step on my outboard platform and start jumping up and down the boat bounces and the bow pops up and down. Water cushions the pounding, up to a point. Not happening on the trailer. --

    2120 Cracks at Transom

^^^ that. With motor mounted on the transom, there are "transom saver" devices - poles/braces - available that support the lower unit against the trailer's cross member. With an armstrong bracket in newer Parkers that is not possible; the only option is a support device that saves the trim but...
