American Red Snapper fishing on the 2320 N. Florida. "Old Glory"

@sydngoose I'm going to pile on with questions! lol Hope you do not mind! Since you have one of the best, if not THE best setups of those new 2320, I value your opinion above and beyond. I'm seriously debating swapping the bench in the cabin with one or possibly two captain/admiral chairs...

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

I get that at mid to high 3,000 RPM, depending on conditions and load, the boat starts planning around 3,600 or so and 3,800 is still rough. I get a lot of vibration, plus some weird noise from the front bilge, probably amplified by the boat's attitude coming up on plane. I will probably shoot...

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

yeah, no torque curves anywhere, same with their MR-1, 1.8HO, and SVHO - they just don;t publish that. We have had Yamaha jet boats for the last decade, before moving back to the coast last year, so I'm very familiar with their inboard 1.8 engines. Those are REALLY loud and sound terrible at...

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

I would consider that, as lots of chain has other merits besides weight re-distribution in this case. However, I feel there is room for improvement with a simple prop change, before I start loading up the bow. I don't know if this is a common experience, I assume it is as I have confirmed it...

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

Ken (of Prop Gods) indicated 4-6 weeks lead time for the prop. Been two weeks already. Hopefully soon, but who knows. I'm very curious, myself. --

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

LOL, I wish I could - leave things alone! I'm one of those unfortunates always fighting the urge to tinker.... lol. I would agree with you though, this boat runs fantastic, in flat water - the numbers are great. My recent outing where I packed six college kids in the back and cruised leisurely...

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

Absolutely. Too much power is not the issue, this boat cruises effortlessly at 45+ mph, in flat water it just flyes. Loaded, or not. I had 7 adults in the boat at some point this weekend, six of them were sitting as far back as possible in the rear. I was almost surprised we could run under WOT...

Testing new autopilot, Garmin Reactor 40, in a 2320SC

"Training" my autopilot to track inside the channel... Thanks @Mpellet ! There is enough glow around here even after dark, but getting caught in fog is a different story. --

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

That is very nice! I may do something like that down the road, possibly, depending on how we use the boat. --

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

I really like the versatility of this boat, the DV my PArker uses provides just about the perfect compromise. In a boat I consider trailerable, a big factor for me. --

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

I may try that next if the OSF4 does not work, but... been down this rabbit hole before many times, with propellers and (jet boat) impellers, it can be very involved. Hoping for an easy solution - carrying just two props that I can swap at the dock in minutes. I guess I'll find out soon if it...

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

If those cabins where more mid-ship I would say yes. Where it is, in the bow, it really is most appropriate for the helmsman only, there is just so much vertical movement when riding in anything even moderately rough, versus the stern which is planted firm and hardly moves - a super smooth ride...

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

I did not specifically ask that, it goes without being said. Achieving the top RPM with this prop should not be an issue, in fact I expect to be hitting the limiter. Whether or not at some point I would want to raise the limiter (to regain top speed) is another discussion. Probably not worth it...

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

Thank you all! I also heard back from Ken Reeves; ordered the Powertech OSF4 in 15 pitch from him, comes with a "cushion lok hub", so I should be good to go. --

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

Just to be clear, the factory setup is the bomb, there is no doubt about it here. That’s the beauty of this Parker, which frankly surprised me… I still seem to get 2mpg at WOT! Lol Of course, that’s only in flat water and therefore not a real number, also reading of the pitot here; once the...

    Finally, got to play.

lol. My wife should be used to it by now, except this particular driveway is brand new. Well, not anymore. --

    Finally, got to play.

This is the part of my trailer maintenance routine that drives my wife mad, but I always calmly explain we can take it somewhere to do the job, and that usually puts an end to any further debate... Truth is, especially in salt, simple maintenance can buy years of trouble free usage. I bought a...

What's the best way to make my new 2320 Parker w/F300... slower?

I did get the "premium" Parker captain's chair, with suspension. It is not the world's best but it does the job quite nicely. My family takes pleasure in telling my how much the shock compresses and how much it travels (apparently - a lot) under my phat behind..., while they are enjoying a...
