    Cover for Parker 2320

My problem is I'm just not really sure what I want, lol, and we have been using the Parker WAY more than anticipated; at this rate it might stay in the water up until it's time to pull it out and have it wrapped for the winter. IDK. Another factor is, with cabin the closed it doesn't get dirty...

    I have been looking, too.

    Fuel Filter Mount

With SS fasteners just be aware of "galling". It tends to happen when fastening too fast or tightening/torquing too hard. Basically, metal high points of the threads are rubbing against each other, the friction can generate enough heat to literally fuse and seize the nut and bolt together –...

    2021 Honda 225 on 1998 Parker 21 DV

I wouldn't hesitate for one second. 60lbs should make no difference with a new transom, and you wouldn't be adding any more torque with a motor of similar power. You are not talking about adding a second motor. Hondas are fantastic motors and very quiet. --

    Finally, got to play.

Love taking new people out. These friends of mine live in NYC, never boated on the East river. We went around the Manhattan in under an hour, lol.

    New Parker VS Classic Parker

Sitting in the bow, basically, it takes a couple of trips to get used to the feeling. The premium chair with a big shock helps, lol.

    New Parker VS Classic Parker

I recently voted yes, with my money, lol. But in all seriousness, who knows. They are definitely old school hulls, and overbuilt, too. --

Am I the only one that thinks the cabin door is a hazard?

I would LOVE to know more about this project. The "front bilge" in my new 2320 fascinates me! Why is it there? Is it meant to just amplify sound of pounding waves? lol Seriously, I want to cut into it, just haven't seen many people doing it. It seems like a PERFECT storage compartment. I...

Am I the only one that thinks the cabin door is a hazard?

100% on this. That closed cabin was the primary reason we actually went with Parker. I love the door - it latches securely in my model, and we love the open v-berth; those were deciding factors between a Parker and a Steiger - for us.

    Finally, got to play.

I'll be honest, I find some of those places, especially around the Newark Bay, almost... surreal. Sometimes we like to cruise around in our 24' open bow and just absorb the views, it is so interesting to me. There are just miles of shore covered with ship cemeteries, defunct marine terminals...

    Finally, got to play.

I took pretty extensive measurements with the boat on; but, just in case, I left the bracket/guidepost bolts easily accessible w/enough slack on wiring conduits - if need adjusted at the ramp.

    Finally, got to play.

Finished my little trailer improvement project. The guideposts w/lights are on, tail lights partially rewired with waterproof connectors, conspicuity tape is on. I swapped the tires, too, with Endurance radials at 65psi. Ready to roll on NJ Turnpike, lol. --

Help with removing washdown thru hull seacock

Was it mounted with 5200? There are other assumptions I don't quite follow but frankly, as far as I am concerned, we have exhausted the topic. --

Help with removing washdown thru hull seacock

Depending on specific circumstances, yes, I would consider capping an old thru-hull, leaving it behind, in some cases. Let me give you a specific example, a (real live) case (from my own experience): An old bronze thru-hull ducer, installed a decade earlier by someone, a prior owner(s?), and...

First Block Island Trip Of 2021

Epic trip! Thanks for sharing. I've not been out in anything really nasty yet in my new 2320, but I am considering buying a helmet and a neck brace, lol. I find these boats to give very solid feeling when they pound but the vertical movement at the helm can make for a fun ride, with my long o/b...

Help with removing washdown thru hull seacock

Would I try to save $100 reusing an old ducer potentially risking the hull??? No. It is not questionable to me, at all. I view old electronic as expandable, the hull - not so much. --

Help with removing washdown thru hull seacock

I wouldn't use anything else but 5200 under water line. I don't love it, but it simply is the strongest and best sealant I know of. Re: water intrusion, yes, it happens and it happens very quickly through delamination. It is a huge problem for boats with wood in transom and stringers, and...

Help with removing washdown thru hull seacock

I have been boating for over thirty years now, started with boats that... needed some work, lol, I think I have seen a lot of things go wrong over the years, first new boat I ever bought was in 2016, also had a lot of issues, actually. I worked on all of them to various degrees, and mod-ed every...

    Finally, got to play.

Honestly, I freaking love it. I have to pinch myself, I feel so lucky to be able to do this here. The Newark bay is my favorite with everything you see there - insane; it amazes me they let rec-boaters in, at all; when I'm there I'm extremely careful as the traffic can be crazy heavy. Always...
