I do have a standard horizon flow scan but it is telling me i am burning 17 gph at 4400 rpms.I guess i am just checking to see how accurate the reading is. I thank you for the input.

What range are people getting with a ox66 250hp and a 2520 dvsc with a 173 gallon fuel tank.Loaded with ice and trolling gear and 2 people..Just trying to get a rough idea of range.

2001 OX66 250HP.Runs rough at idle but runs great above 1200 rpms..anyone have any ideas>>

The motor runs fine at idle and up to 4300 rpms,when i try to give it more throttle the engine dies out and bucks..once i back the throttle back a little bit it runs fine..The motor use to run up too 5100 rpms.does this sound like a vst filter problem???

I think that is my problem there was a lot of carbon build up on the rings..I purchased the boat in april of 08..i dont know if the old owner used ring free or decarbed the motor..I did check the other cylinders and they had a fair amount of build up..When the problem happend ,after i got it...

Well i finally ran a compression test ,i had 150 psi in 5 out of 6. the bad one was the lower cyl port side it only had 25 psi.. removed the head and intake,found rings had siezed on piston ...I only had to hone the cyl very little to get rid of scratches..so all and all a pretty cheap fix..1...

I have a 2520 dvsc with a 2001 ox66 250hp.. what is the best prop for this boat and which holes should it be bolted thru..

I was running at 3800 rpms in my 2520 with a 2001 0x66 250 hp i had been running for about 5 minutes when the rpms stated to drop there was no noise ,then the motor died...i tried to restart and it sounded like the motor was siezed...would not crank over...waited about 2 minutes after checking...

Has anyone installed a engine bracket on a notched transom...

Thanks for the help,cleaned the vst and and o2 sensor the engine smoothed out..there wasnt much debris on ethier but must have been enough... :D

ok.i just couldnt belive it would run well at full throttle if it was starving for fuel..but i appreciate the input...i will take it apart...thanks

thank you for the input...i drained alittle fuel out of the vst resivoir and it was clean...should i still clean the filter..i took the sample after it sat over night..

My ox66 250 hp 2001, started running rough and smoking at idle..after you get the boat above 1400 rpm it smooths out and runs fine...i primed the fuel bulb when it was running rough and it didnt change anything.. i checked the mv signal thru the ox sensor and it was fine..i cant believe it has...

i guess thats alot to ask by the looks of it..i thank you for the response. iwas hoping i wouldnt have to try a half dozen props to find the answer..the season is underway so i guess i will wait tilll next season..

i have a 25dvsc with a ox66 250 hp...what is the best performing stainless prop and size to put on this combination...its all very confusing!!!!!!!! i run offshore alot with this boat and i am looking for the best fuel economy and performance combination... thanks for any input
