I just go through setting up my boat with a 740. I too was concerned with screen size but, so far, have found the 740 to be fine for my uses. Would I like a bigger screen? You bet, but cost wise I just couldn't justify it.

Thanks guys. I've only had it out for a few hours, but been really impressed with the boat and engine so far. I had sea trialed a 07 25 SE with a 250 and would have bought it if we could have agreed on price. I thought it did fine with the 250, but the 300 really seems a good match for the boat...

25se I just bought is my first one with tabs. They make a huge difference. Trim the bow down just a little and it cuts right through the chop. Also easy to level it out if weight is uneven on board.

Well, I have taken the Parker plunge. Been looking for used one for about 2 years. Finally found what I wanted in a new one. 2012 25 SE with single 300. Been reading on here the whole time I was looking. Great resource for information.
