I use 87. My dealer said using a higher octane is unnecessary. They recommended using Yammlube fuel additive, which I add every time I fill up.

I believe you have to have hydronic for that motor. At least, thats what my mechanic told me when they were installing the motor. They replaced my mechanical steering as part of the install - and I trust them 100%.

I have a 21SE with a 200 Suzuki on it. Don't think twice about it.....slap her on there! I'd also recommend installing the Suzuki Multi-Function Gauge when doing so.

Upon a little more exploring, it looks like that bead of caulk may be cosmetic only. There is a small panel on either side of the storage lockers that were easily removed by removing the 3 screws you can see in the picture. Solid floor from what we could see, so simply cut a 1/2 circle so...

A friend just picked up a 2013 23DV that I'm helping outfit. Looking to add some rod holders toward the bow and I'm wondering if there is drainage below the gunnels/cap around the area of the forward storage boxes. My guess is the floor goes all the way to the forward bulkhead of the anchor...

DV based on what you said about the transom and bracket. Plus, you can see the 2 strakes/chines on the hull in the second pic on the trailer. Great boat!

Happy to help. I love it, but there’s always room for improvement. Lack of storage can tough. That must be a nonissue in a 28.

I've been using a 150qt cooler for storage. I call it the "poor mans coffin box". I'm leaning toward staying that route after all. I'm just so paranoid about doing anything to compromise the fuel tank.

Thank you Sir! Very insightful. Perhaps the fish box I keep on deck with the anchor set up is the best solution at this point. The age of my fuel tank nags at me, and I certainly don't want to do anything that escalates the time to replace it.

There is not. There is a stringer/bulkhead in front of the fuel tank. I was thinking of starting with a 3” hole saw so I could take a look into the void. That way, worse case I could put another pie plate in instead of the hatch in the event there’s something in there that thwarts the project.
