Anyon running a carbed 2 stroke yamaha 150 on a 2120? Curious what kind of rpm range you are getting to. Mine seems to be running good but I am only reaching wide open around 4400. This boat is a 2004 with only 86 hours on it. I replaced the diaphragm fuel pumps and rebuilt the carbs prior to even using it because it was sitting for a few years.

Any ideas

Thanks

Thanks for those ideas I will get down to the boat and check prop size this weekend. Good idea on throttle linkage as well.

How did you guys make out in carolina? Looks like a few of the areas took a beating.

On the Suzuki the props were stamped. I don't see any markings on this one. Where are the size located on a yamaha prop?

Sometimes it’s on the barrel of the prop sometimes it’s on the hub. It depends on the manufacture. First numbers is the diameter and the second number is the pitch. Also let us know if it’s stainless or aluminum.

Hi,
Not exactly the same but very similar. I have a 2110, I've read that's the same hull as the 2120 but mine's a walk around. 175 carbed 2 stroke yamaha. I have a quicksiver Q3 15 x 15 prop, and max rpm is 5500.

Good luck with yours.

I pulled the boat yesterday and the prop the only numbers I see on it are 24638-20. Looks like it's hand inscribed on there

It is a stainless prop.

Any help would be appreciated.

Those are the only ones I see on it. Usually on all the others props I've seen they are clearly marked.

I have a prop shop not to far away from the house so I will be dropping it off today to see what the pitch is. From what I can tell at some point the hub looks to have been replaced.

I am going to investigate a little further on the boat as well. Seems like that is just about 3/4 throttle. I think going down a size prop would just bring it up a couple hundred rpm and with this motor I the spec should be 5-6k. I would think I should be right around 5500 on it?
