Hey guys, a few questions for you about my 2003 150 hpdi...
I ran the motor the other day with the cover off just to take a peak around and noticed that the vent hose off the top of the oil tank was not connected to the small nipple off of the intake shell. I further investigated and also found another hose laying next to that one that ran to the stbd side of the motor that connect to the intake i think. I will attach the diagrams...it is #8 off the oil tank vent and #19 off the intake diagram. The motor ran fine without them attached. As I ran the motor i noticed that the #19 intake hose was sucking air in. I just want to make sure i have them back in the right place....one nipple is higher than the other if i remember and the hoses will only reach to certain ones but if somebody can take a look for me and let me know that would be great.....its hard to tell from the diagram. Other then that i only have 127 hours on her and she is running great!! Hope everybody is having a great summer on their parkers!!

#8 on the oil tank is the vent, and overflow tube. Should the oil pump overfill the tank (like with a bad oil full switch not shutting it off), oil will dump through the tube to the intake and it's supposed to get burned off that way. Not sure what #19 is all about.

That makes sense John, as the other line sucks air in as the motor is running....sucking that oil from the tank should it overflow. Not sure If I am right but that makes sense to me as they both attach to the intake manifold.
