Yes, but it may not be a big issue until you need that power...some of the guys I know running 1801's opted for a 150...It really moves it out. The 115 is adequate but much like the 21 with a 150
I have a 1990 1800 CC with a 2001 90hp 2 stroke Merc. She runs 31 mph with 4 people, 2 full coolers of ice, and 40 gallons of gas. I did have to reprop her to get a better take off, but she does great and most of the time I only have 2 people in the boat anyway. I am planning on adding hydraulic trim tabs this year that will also do wonders for getting the boat up on plane quickly. These are wonderful boats and built like a tank.
depends how fast you want to go. I have an 1801 with a 115 2 stoke yamaha i top out around 40 with a 13X17 aluminum prop. That 100 4 stroke if propped right brobably wouldnt be to bad
