I am the sounding board / will work for food and liquor, on this boat (buddies).. It was purchased in the Keys here in June 2015, from an elderly gentleman who had decided to downsize (Regulator 21 I believe is what he is aiming towards).
Here she is as originally inspected.
Boat is a 1990, and the previous owner said that it was a commercial model, and that he had owned it since 1993... As purchased the port motor was inoperable, so the decision was made to have it towed from the the house in Tavernier to a nearby dock, so that it could be removed safely from the water. As a happy surprise, the Tow Boat US that arrived was a a 1987 2520 Pilot House.
Back safely at its new home, the work began on getting her back in the water.
First thing done was to replace/revamp the wiring in the boat, so as to minimize any issues related to bad/faulty wiring. New owner previously worked in S. Florida for a couple well known boat companies and was primarily responsible for wiring/rigging.
So.....
New Wire to bow light
New wires to main bilge pumps
New wire for a wash down pump
Verified spreader light wiring, and replaced/fixed as required.
Verified wiring to trim tabs
Installed new breakers to replace old fuses
Installed new switches
Replaced Analog volt meter
Removed Analog Hour meters
Installed new Standard Horizon GX1600 in the analog hour meter holes
Installed LED strip lights in forward cabin
Installed 2 new bilge pumps.
Installed Dual USB charger for phones
Installed Miniplug outlet to utilize phone or iPod as radio
Installed new amplifier below instrument cluster
Installed new Poly Planar speakers in cabin (JL audios planned for future on deck)
Ran speaker wires for future speakers
New Switches and breakers
Cleaned up front of switch panel
Dash in progress
Dash with Radio and new switches installed
Still looking for a replacement port motor at this point.. Several have surfaced, either to be snatched up by others, or with un-responsive sellers... but one will come soon I am sure.
