Considering purchasing a 1993 to 2000 2510 or 2520.

Were there any issues with this period hull or structure? What questions should I be asking about the Hull or structure? Thx

No issues with the hulls, but depending on the year, they did come in different deadrises.
My 1996 hull is the (now discontinued) 14 degree deadrise, while the XL series were (are) 16 degree.

At one time, Parker made 14, 16, and 21 degree hulls in the 25 series.
Now, it is only 16 and 21 degree. The 14 has been discontinued.

Best way to know for sure what you are looking at is to copy down the HIN and call the factory.
They will be able to tell you exactly what you're looking at.

Not an issue 'per se' - provided the boat is well cared for - but on 1992 models, the underside of the cockpit deck was only coated out in poly resin, it is NOT fiberglassed. I believe that didn't start until 1993 or 1994 model years.

That said, my '92 deck is sound, but I do two things:

1) All deck penetrations or plates were removed and I wet-out the core edges with CPES followed by thickened epoxy. Then were re-bedded with LifeCaulk by BoatLife Products.

2) I ventilate my bilge religiously! Click here - http://www.classicparker.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=345 - for an easy DIY bilge vent plate you can make yourself. Some here have upgraded my concept by putting solar-powered fans on top of the replacement deck plates. But I have a dorade box on top of my helm cabin and where I'm on a mooring, any airflow across the hull will fill the bilge with a positive air flow!

Go back in and clean out your in-box, out-box, and sent messages.
There is a limit to the number of messages that you can have in there.
