I just bought a 21 deep-v and have begun a "refurbishing". She has a 98 Yamaha 175 now.
I'm excited as I started to clean her up yesterday and believe she'll need some compounding but will come back to have a second life and be looking sweet. Turns out it wasn't painted black and green after all!...LOL

It spent most of her life on a lift and was never fished but had bottom paint at one time. Her new home starting a year ago was under an Oak tree. Bottom paint was taken off and replaced w/ a hard white epoxy I think. Bottom paint will be going back on, haven't decided on black or white. It will be trailered , hopefully to the Keys or Hatteras on occasion.

Her prior owner replaced her w/ a new BW 17 Nantucket ....

From what I see it's rated for up to 225 or is that for the newer hulls?
Is a 175 under powering this hull? What cruise and top end speed should I expect? What about time to plane w/ 3 people full tank and 75lbs gear?
I just called coastal, is there anywhere to get replacement pedestal chair cushions w/ the Parker logo?...they don't

I plan to have the T-top and helm chair pedestals powder coated as close a shade to the Parker gel as possible.

I see they use electric trim tabs on the new ones, I use Bennett's on the Albe but that's what she came with. Any opinions ? Bennett replaced a pump assembly on a 4 year old boat I bought used....talk about standing behind your product.....
