Hi- new to the forum, would like to gain some insight on an older hull. I have been looking to buy a Parker forever, and have found a 1999 23 WA, with new 4S power (225 Yam w/150 hrs) that is in my budget range. Wondering what the differences are between the hulls in '99, vs the newer ones. Not sure if Parker went thru a major re-design at some point that I should be aware of, or if there are any particular issues (transom issues / soft decks / rot ?) I should be looking for with this hull. I will obviously get a survey done if go to next step, but figured I would reach out here.
Thanks in advance for your insight.

I bought a 98 hull about a year ago and when i had it surveyed (which is a must for any older boat) the surveyor told me the areas of most concerns on older Parkers was the decking around the anchor locker and transom thru hulls. He put a camera under the decking and did a moisture test at every thru hull and deck penetration. You may want the gas tank thoroughly inspected as well.
Good Luck.

Other than trim items and options over the years, I don't think much has seriously changed with the 2310 since 1999.
A look at the specs for the new ones could confirm that.

That said, owners routinely add things and modify others, and can introduce issues if not done correctly. Mounting of new hardware is the single item we see as most problematic. Many owners don't know how to properly mount items and protect the core.

Fortunately, this forum is where you find out how to 'do it right' the first time.

Get a survey done, and then spend some time reading in the 'Projects' area. That area... is the Parker owners manual.

Good luck!

I 2nd that, that the only issue w/ a Parker boat would be due to a PRIOR owner ...
