As you know I am working on the 21SE and have discovered that the 5 gallons of gelcoat are much whiter than the Parker cream color. If I buy yellow pigment paste how easy is it to match the color? Has anyone done this?

I am doing to want to make the floor nonskid. Based on the finish of the gelcoat under my hard top it is going to be smooth and slick. Can I add something to the gelcoat and roll it on the floor to ensure non skid? My thoughts on the floor were to roll one coat of gelcoat, let it kickoff, put 1" tape around the edges, wipe it down with acetone and apply a second coat with fine silica mixed in and roll the floor.

pretty sure Dale had a great thread on re-doing his floors non skid...

It is very hard, almost impossible to match the gelcoat color as a DIY'er, I know I tried with my last few boats, best thing to match
Parker Gelcoat is Parker Gelcoat I do repairs on my boat that are invisible when done using factory gelcoat..

As far as your 5 gallons, Can you do the deck white or does it need to fade in somewhere, if not I would consider taping off arond obvious areas. You can add grip tex to the gelcoat and/or sprinkle it on for different levels of non skid.

I am OK with the floor and inside gunwalls being white or slightly offwhite. I was going to get a quart of Parker gel coat for chip repairs.

you might want to have the floors off-white to cut glare of pure white. With a small amount of gel you might want to try to add black, the universal tinter. maybe black and yellow to get that beige color. I have dont alot of painting and always see black added to any tint, just a thought.
