Good question. I dont think I have ever seen one on the Chesapeake Bay. Maybe they are more popular on the flats in the upper bay but in the main bay here, you never see them.

not many "bay boats" where I boat as the chop in the bay can be short and steep. The low bow and gunwales could make for many wet days in a bay boat. Heck I had been in gw204's Grady Sailfish in seas where we would take a wave over the bow trolling. (a day we shouldnt have been out). For center consoles, the Parker SE's are very popular here. They seem to be much more of a big water boat with their higher sides and big carolina flare. Plus they have a shallow draft to get on the flats and other shallow areas of the bay so they are probably much more suited for the area. Most Ches Bay fisherman arent running the miles of an offshore fisherman so the mod v with the draft, stability and economy are more desired.

Of course I like the Parker sport cabins as I like to be protected and comfy when the migratory bass are in the area. This is Nov to early May.

I always wondered why I have not seen more of these in FL too. The only one I have actually seen on the water was at Lake Martin in AL. I thought that I saw there was someone on the forum who had one in TX.

I have actually thought about getting a 21 Big Bay to replace my 21SE since I hardly ever fish anyting other than inshore/nearshore anyway and have no real need for the higher sides and 100 gallon tank in the SE.
