I'm just getting into the Parker market and I took a sea trial on a 2006 2120 over the weekend that is paired with a 200 yamaha OB. Loved the ride and the fit and finish of the boat, but I have to tell you I was really surprised with the (lack of) performance. We topped out at 29kts at WOT running at about 4400 RPMs. There was an issue with getting the trim tabs dialed in, as one was stuck in the up position, but I still thought that were really weak numbers. Does that sound right?

Figured as much. Any suggestions? What kind of numbers can I expect with the right prop?

29kts = 33mph which sounds pretty good for 4400rpm.
You should be able to turn higher RPM with a 200hp and get over 40mph unless something's wrong.
If the boat's lightly loaded, you should be able to spin a 17pitch and hit close to 45mph.
My boat's got a tower and bait tank so I turn a 15pitch and trade off some speed for
better load and heavy seas handling.

I have a 2004 2120 with a Yamaha F200 four stroke pushing a 15 x 17 Black SS prop and 2:1 gear ratio.

WOT is 6000 RPM 45 MPH.

That's with full tank of fuel and 400 LBS of passengers..

Your numbers sound off...

Hope this helps.

I have a 2005 2120 w/ F200 4-stroke and only get 38 MPH at 6000 RPMs with 300 lbs of passengers and 1/2 tank of fuel. I'm going to check the prop, but I believe it is a 15 x 17 as well. The bottom is painted, but I can't believe it would reduce the speed that much.

I have a 2120 with a Yamaha 150 [4 stroke] - With me and the dog, 1/4 tank fuel and normal gear I'm getting 30 MPH at 5000 RPM WOT - (Full tank, 3 friends, trimed in on plane... WOT 27/28 MPH at 4800 RPM)
I'll have to figure out what prop I have...I don't know that information yet.

My boat is lift kept and does not have bottom paint.

I even wax the bottom during the spring prep...

I believe bottom paint adds more Drag Coefficient than one might think...
