Can someone tell me how much it would cost to install an anchor windlass?
I really need one due to the type of fishing I do. Thanks Anthony.

Mine was $2000 dealer-installed with 200' line and delta, but I'm sure I paid too much.

Mine was about a 1000 bucks for everything.Let me back up a bit. I mean that for a 1000 bucks I got the windless unit, wire,,and wirelugs.
The install I did myself.
It's a ''cathead" type windless,so ya gotta get out on the front, and operate it,but thats what I pefer.

I had a Pro-Fish free fall installed last season.
Pro fish-796
rode-172 for 300' 20' chain
delta anchor-125
swivel-15
install-550

Just be aware that you will not be able to center the hole over the deepest part of the anchor locker, therefore when you anchor in deeper water,(over 40-50' for me) you will have to make sure you check rode about half way up and probably pull backwards in the locker. It really is a great feature and when it works right it is the cats meow.
I had to replace my unit this past season because Lewmar used a batch of springs in the gear housing which rusted an caused my unit to fail.Lewmar sent me a brand new unit.

thanks guys, after trying to anchor at night in 80' of water several times I will have one installed for next season! whats another 1,000!
