I have been interested in buying a Parker boat for a long time. The 23 foot models seem the ideal combination of cockpit size, weight, towability, etc. etc. I went on an extended sea trial this weekend on a 2310 and I was amazed at how rough the ride was in light 1-2 ft chop at around 25 mph. I am not sure what to think of this. My only other point of comparision is a shallow v aluminum boat (which will jar your teeth out in a ripple) and a 20 ft 1983 Grady White Overnighter. The old Grady rides much better. I really the Parker but I am not sure I can take the pounding. According to what I have read the 2310 has a 21 degree deadrise and weighs better than 4000 lbs, which should result in a smooth ride in light chop. Does anyone esle have an opinions, comments or suggestions about what kind of ride to expect and/or how to improve it?
