Im asking a favor to anyone who has a 2320 with a bracket and a single 200-250 motor

If you could can you take pictures of your water line in a couple different areas of the boat, I need to paint the bottom on my 2320 this spring and i don't have the option to put the boat in the water to get a line. I know that's the proper way to do it but if i can get a few different pictures of a couple different boats i believe I can come up with a water line that will be close, and then if need be i can raise it next year.

This is greatly appreciated to anyone that can help me out with this, you can post the pics on here or send them to my email [email protected].

Please heed my advice here ....

You are going down a very wrong path here. The only way to correctly strike the copper line is to get it wet.

By guessing you will get the line crooked, wrong elevation (high in some places, low in others) and generally look a mess. Plus the corrective actions are going to cost you a pretty penny (ie removing bottom paint where it doesn't belong).

Owning and caring for a boat is hard enough when trying to do it right. Imagine how much harder it is going to be when you try to take shortcuts to problems that you know are incorrect solutions.

I understand your point but i dont have a trailer with the boat so putting it in and out is basically a non option for me, i feel confident i can get the line straight and make it a little lower and raise it accordingly next season. I got a shop teacher helping me

Reelax thanks for the picture, the more the better!!

Borrow a trailer or something. Getting the line right with the option of putting it in the water is hard enough. Boats do not sit perfectly...and more importantly, every boat is different.

The pics are greatly appreciated!!! the last one was very helpful

I painted my last boat with out putting it in the water and it came out just fine, i had to raise the line a little bit the following year but it worked for me. However i appreciate the concern and advice with the situation, i think i got this!!!

the issues i see are your boat's gas tank is further aft than 2006 and later. the P-house sits higher and i likely heavier, and also difference in weight from your 2 stroke to the 4 stroke displayed in the pic. don't know that you can get the references you need without dropping her in the water. good luck.

my 2006 w/light load and a little heavier. and lastly, check out the difference between my 2320 and Larry's 2520 XL both 2006. that extra 1k+ pounds sure make a difference in attitude.
