I was also wondering if a 20" shaft would work. I have the kicer from my old boat and was thinking about keeping it if it would work on the 2320SL. OT

Wide open was 5.3 mph(gps)..... Wouldn't go any smaller than that. If I were setting up the boat again,the 9.9 would get the nod.
