Howdy Parker fans, I got my 01 2520 last April bought it out of LA and pulled it home to the central ore coast. I really enjoy it, it has tuna tower and we had a ball tuna, and halibut getting last year, I want to mount a crab davit to ease pulling pots and keep boat from abuse, where do you get a floor plan to know where and how to anchor in deck without causing harm?

Easy.

Write down your Hull Identification Number (HIN) and call Parker Marine Enterprises with your question, and what you want to do.
Give them your HIN and they can help!

FWIW... We have members here in the northeast who have davits installed to pull lobster pots, so it's not an unusual request.
Good luck!

Thank you, this is a great site I wish I had found it sooner. I want davit installed and a bumper for landing pots to keep gunnel from being chipped.

Try a search, there are a few guys here from Cali that have installed temp ones for hooping I think.

I had to go down to SoCal (San Diego) to pick up my Parker, such a good selection of offshore ready boats down there it makes the drive worth it. I fish out of Northern Cal, Humboldt Bay. I mounted a crab pot davit with the including mounting hardware to the floor and the rail just behind the cabin on port side. My davit is just an aluminum bent arm with the pulley on the end, no power block. And I fish commercial style pots that are about 30" diameter. No issues at all. I don't think you will have an issue mounting it anywhere as long as it is tied into the floor and rail. If you are mounting a hydraulic block and pulling 40" pots that are going to soak for a week at a time and possibly get sanded in, then you may want to worry about mounting it in a structurally adequate location.

I just picked up a ace brutus line hauler that just mounts on a scotty down rigger mount on the top of the rail. The unit plugs into the downrigger plug. The guy I bought the puller from bent the arm slightly on a big stuck pot, and the arm is one inch square aluminum tubing. So... if the downrigger bases are strong enough to hold and have the hefty aluminum tube davit bend, it seems that the mounting was plenty strong enough.

Good Luck
