Those are vital if you want to turn things on or off. They really don't seem as far in person as they look in the pics.
What things were you concerned about? I'm considering upgrading to it but I'm blinded by all the cool stuff it has. Diesel generator, bow thruster..... I'm getting all worked up again. I need an unbiased opinion of things.

i meant vital to operation of the vessel  . e.g. bilge pumps, running lights, etc... stuff im not gonna be real happy about if i have to get up from my helm chair in 5-7' seas to turn on. Initially, i was worried about the storage in the v-berth, storage under the dinette seats (which theyve since fixed) and a few other minor details. it looks as if theyve addressed most of them, if not in exactly the way i would have done it... but close enough. jury's still out til i see it myself.

Those are the switches for those operations. I kind of like them up there. I find when people go into the v-berth on my boat now they always grab the spot where my switches are and end up turning things on or even worse, off (like the bait pump). I didn't really consider having to get out of my chair. It's a really comfortable captain's chair too.

im confused... where are your switches located??? mine are mounted on the helm column against the stbd side of the house... are yours different? and clarify for me, do you have to get up to reach the switches? im still not clear on that. that would be a MISERABLE design in my opinion.

On mine just as you step down into the v-berth they are on the right on the helm about knee high to the captain. So for balance going in and out people accidentally grab that area for balance.
You do have to get up for those switches. It's only a couple of feet.

Thats a couple of feet too many. I saw the switch position at the 34' thats at 3A Marine in Hingham, MA, and thought it was a terrible place for the switches.

yea, because when the $h!t hits the fan and im running through 8-10s, i wanna have to let go of the wheel to turn the bilge pump on when the high water light goes off. or to flip the nav lights on. or just get up when im underway t turn the livewell on. thats one of the worst design features ive ever heard of. whats the purpose of it being there???
