I am planning, or hoping to put a marlin tower on sometime this next winter. i already have a 2nd station in the cockpit. i will not be able to do the work my self, will it be possible, how much, any recomendations for welders, i live in cape cod.??? mainly i am putting this on to get a better height of eye, but i really dont want to ruin the beautiful lines of the parker, i want it to look like an extension of the lines, instead an intrusion. if necessary i will put just the tower on the first year and the controls on when i save enough money. any suggestions are appreciated, i dont even know where to start.

Howdy fellow Cape Codder.

Fastech marine over in Buzzard's Bay does really nice work.
RK Welding in Pocasset does nice work, but not as polished. Rich (RK welding) does a lot of work for my company, and his prices are pretty good. I dunno if he'd do the tower, but I bet he'll chat with you about it.

Fastech... We've never had anything done by them, but I know the work they do from other boats, and it is superb. I think their prices are higher, but definitely give them a call and see what they say.

I'd guess $2500+ for a custom tower, add $500 to $1K for an instrumentation pod, $1-3K for controls on a single OB, $3-5K+ for dual motors or fly-by-wire controls) and at least another $1k+ for rigging ...

I'd say you burn a quick $10K hole +/- ...
