The Northstar F210 totalizer (formerly Navman 2100) will be my first addition to the console that requires cutting and no 2nd chances. I don't want to overlook anything that I'll regret later. Are there any preparation/safeguards I should know about, especially cutting technique. I have read somewhere weeks ago that the transducer gets mounted vertically for best accuracy. How critical is this angle? The only location (between filter & OB) on the 1801 that I can see is in the duct leading vertically into the starboard battery box. Any suggestions are welcome.
