Accessing Thru-Hull

Looking into changing thru-hulls. I can not figure out how to access the thru-hull on the starboard side. I've attached images and placed blue tape around the one I'm having trouble with.

Two pictures are of the thru-hull on the exterior of the boat. One image is a view from the interior of the boat standing port side looking starboard - you will notice that there are not any access plates.

Your input would be much appreciated.

If your boat is set up like mine there should be a panel in both of the corners inside the cabin.Remove the screws and mine had a bead of silicone around it that had to be cut.

Hammerhead.. I wondered about that panel. I had it of before running my transducer wire but did not really look to much past all the steering and control cables. Thanks for the advice.

That one is strange....What hooks to that thruhull? The one forward of that needs to be changed to a Stainless unit also.

There is a drain channel around the hatch in the floor.

They look to be around the waterline. If immersed at all, I'd go with marine bronze THs over SS.

As stated above remove the panel from the starboard side, you can access this fitting through there. If you have an indeck hatch like my 2320 that through hull is used to drain the lip of the hatch. I changed all of mine out, and that one was a pain in the *** to get too. I see you have an open back PH so it maybe a little different for you.

BTW change that ASAP, I did mine last year and when i went to take the backing nut off of the fitting it crumbled in my hand, would have sank my boat if it let go at the dock.

Milky 2884- Thanks for the info....My thru-hull for the rear bilge did exactly like yours when I went to remove it.

Dale H- You are correct on the assumption of being immersed in water especially with fuel and gear load.

Warthog 5- Likes other have stated there's a floor hatch behind the cabin. Around the hatch is a lip for rain/deck water to run in so Parker put a drain hose from it that runs down to this thru-hull in which I'm trying to access.

I let everyone know how it turns out.

Tackled this on my 97 2320. The old one fell apart like others have seen. Took me forever to find a bronze replacement with barb. Tried one without and a plastic barb addition and too much interference with the tube that runs wires and steering. What a nightmare. Maybe I am just getting too fat for some of these small places!
