adding LED deck lights

I already have the deck light from the factory, would it be as easy as just splicing the new Led wires into the existing wires? This is an awesome option for night time and it looks sweet.

I did it, I had to remove that cover plate back under the gunnel, but it was very easy, I think my whole boat is LEDs, but the ones I ordered where a tad smaller, so I took some really thin Starboard, made a backing plate and connected, at first it kept slapping me in the face, the look, but in time, I do not even notice it, this coming winter, will be on the ocean a lot, as business is better, so I will get to really use all the leds, last winter the boat did not get as wet because work was slow ! Thank god it has picked up
