NEVER, EVER use Dry Gas in a boat! All it does is contain MORE alcohol. Use a known HIGH-volume fuel source and Racor or equivalent filters with clear see-thru drainable bowls.
Star*Tron or PRI-G or some other additive in dosing regimen wouldn't hurt, but don't get carried away wth additives ... as motors run on FUEL, not additives.
Do a search here on E10 and you'll be reading for hours ...
What Dale and Kevin said....never dry-gas.
Ring-free, Startron, Pri-G, Seafoam are some additives that various people use to help clean/lube internal fuel system and engine parts,
Stabil is great stuff for it's intended purpose of stabilising fuel for long term storage, don't know about regular usage as an additive for cleaning/lube......any opinions?
Features:
Reduces all emissions
Prevents fuel oxidation and stabilizes fuel chemistry for at least 1 year
Lowers fuel system maintenance
Eliminates carbon build-up in fuel delivery system and on exhaust components
Increases fuel economy, especially in older engines. Instantly cures fuel jelling caused by cold weather and E10 alcohol fuels
We religiously use only Ring Free in the HPDI and only XD100 in the E-Tec. Using Ring Free alone in the HPDI results in absolutely no carbon in the prop hub while the E-Tec does a show minimal film. I can't see how it's necessary to use anything else but Ring Free in the HPDI, in fact I'm thing about trying it in the E-Tec.
