Aftermath of Irene

Well down here on the CT shoreline we are still cleaning up after Irene, My family and I have been extremely busy trying to clean up what this storm left us. The first floor of my house is completely destroyed I basically have the whole thing gutted right now had to cut every wall 24in up from sub floor, removed all carpeting and vinyl floors had to remove all insulation from under the house,need new hot water heater furnace cabinets stove range sub floors etc...... Thankfully we do have flood insurance but now the difficult part of dealing with insurance adjusters. The storm surge got over 8ft and left me with about 7-8 inches of water in my house. Our family beach house located right in front of my house all suffered pretty severe damage as well, broken windows soaked carpets wet insulation wet walls etc.....We have been down this road before and we will rebuild again

One positive thing my 2320 champed it and survived the storm with basically no damage!
