learn to swim! i swim around my boat in the slip and scrub the sides 2-3 times a summer

I got one of these from West Marine and it really helps as you make your way around the boat.

I have a number of Scotch Brite 'handled' scrubbers which work great for removing scum at the waterline.
For the tabs and other irregular surfaces, I use a Scotch Brite sponge.
