After 6 weeks of not seeing the shore house or my boat I finally made it down for a work weekend. Saturday was full of house stuff but Sunday I pulled off the cover and charged up the batteries all day. I re-connected the battery cables, gave the primer bulb one pump and it started after 5 seconds on the key. A littel white smoke, which I knew was the fogging oil burning off and after that it was fine. Now the shop that winterized me last year told me to bring the boat back for a spring start up for $180.00. Why would I do that? It starts, it runs, everything seems fine. Am I missing something? Fluids, filters and plugs were all changed and a bunch of warrenty work was done on the engine at the end of the season.

Yes, you're only missing a $180 HOLE in your wallet.

Just make SURE the plugs were put in tight. I replace my plugs and fuel/water cartridge filter after the 1st day's running (or at least a few good hours) of the new season.
